Probably.....if Sean white played for Any of our non conference opponents he would most likely light us the frick up.

This, Gus uses the excuse a lot "have to put qb in better situations but I don't see anyone holding back against us. Didn't true frosh Kyle Allen light us up for 300+ yards last year

I really hope we come out with the "nothing to lose" attitude and let the kid see what he can do.

But if we go off how we've called games so far this year- Here's my prediction for first series play calls:

Read option-
1. Louis speed sweep, short side 3 yds.
2. Barber 2 yds off tackle.
3. Louis screen pass, no gain.
4. Punt

The thing that impresses me about Sean White is he seems to have a really good pocket presence. If he feels pressure coming, he stepped up into the pocket nicely.

I think from a passing perspective, Sean White will open the offense up. If he can run the RO for 3-5 yards, make some reads our offense will become high powered due to weapons around him.

That said, no one knows how he will react when the DT is 300 LB super athlete Chris Jones coming to eat him instead of some 155lb Nosetackle

I noticed it in the UA all star game where he went up against all the other D1 talent in his age group. At that level, you tend to see the QB looking more at the pass rush than keeping his eyes down the field. It's a good sign to see that, regardless of what level you're talking about.

I get what you're saying, but honestly what else would you like us to judge him on? The options are pretty slim.

I know, I'm just gun-shy from thinking JJ would be a world-beater.

d like to see some short routes and quick passes, ala short slants and quick outs. Mix in a few screens and give the ball to Barber.

This is what we are doing now. It its getting us killed because teams are just covering the short stuff and daring us to throw it deep.
