The shittiest thing is Stidham was placing the ball in tight spaces and was on fire early then Gus took the ball out of his hands and killed his mojo. Like having a guy be on fire from 3 point land and pounding it inside the rest of the game.

Everything about the game was frustrating.
I still think Gus makes it to next year, but that will suck because he will be a dead man walking.
Under him, the team cannot seem to overcome a hostile environment-- he does not know how to go for the kill to take them out.
I am not sure we can win any of our away games at this point. And next year will be brutal.
It is baffling, frustrating and discouraging. Don't get me wrong, I hope we sweep our remaining games, but I see no way we can do it.
What summed the game up for me was when we were 4th and less than a yard. A team with a killer instinct goes for that and puts the game away.
We don't have it, and it cannot be taught by those who do not possess it. We only ever show balls when we are expected to lose and that is how you end losing games you should win.
The only bright side for me is that I can get a lot of work done on the house over weekends going forward--- providing the weather does not change too quickly.

From where I was sitting, I thought I saw a possible block in the back when Chark got around the first guy. Of course they didn't show the replay in Tiger Stadium of the entire play just Chark running it back so I couldn't ever tell, but yes it felt a lot like FSU. It still irks me we didn't even try to block their first FG that gave them the lead. Gus really thought LSU would fake it so he rushed only 4 or 5 it looked like and the rest were playing safe.

I think there had been talk of their kicker being spotty. But like the rest of them, they stepped up while we did not.
And honestly, with a 20 point lead, no missed call should have been a game changer.
We just got beat.

Gus is an 8-4 HC. If he has some freak of an athlete at QB, who can hide Gus' deficiencies, he is a 10 win HC.
I have no idea who we could bring in, but I hope we make a change. Gus just can't win a game against a more talented/equally talented team with his coaching ability.

Even if we squeaked it out we would still get our shite kicked in against UGA and Bama and like you said it shouldn't have been a game changer.

If Gus said frick it and started recruiting Nick Marshall type QBs and give up on his failed passing O experiment ....
Would the board stomach one more year?

I see Georgia and Alabama as sure losses and Arkansas and Texas A&M as tossups. That gives us 8-4 at best and possibly 6-6. Hello, Music City Bowl! At least I live near Nashville.

I wouldn't, Stidham has the arm talent to be fricking awesome but Gus is handicapping him. I'm sure Stidham second guesses his decision to come here more than ever now. He would've made UF a legit threat to UGA if he was there.
