Who did they hire as DC? Didn't they promote someone on the staff?

Dont blame people on the boards. Its stupid. The Media and kids are why the process is like it is. Not the fans.

its a circus because it is allowed to be a circus..

Not because some internet jockey reads what is written.

I just watched the Evans announcement and it is strange how his dad had a snarky little smirk on his face and his mother just looked pissed off about it. This whole thing is odd and no, this isn't a melt about it. I just find the whole thing strange.

I know how the recruiting game is played; I'm far from naive on that. However, let's not sit around and claim an 18 year old kid fricked with a coaching staff on his own accord for shits and giggles.

If you choose to find peculiarity and a theme with these situations over the years, I can't say I blame you. I respect TTs post above. Let's not fault the kids in the situation when the adults are culpable.
Nobody implied it was Rashaan's master plan. I have no clue where you are getting that. The fact is Rashaan told our staff at least 2 times he was in and the Evans family lied to our staff. Manipulating and decieving Mitchell and Roberts to get them there to watch by telling them he was committing to Auburn was a total arse move by Rashaan. No matter whose plan it was that was BS by Rashaan and is the main reason I am pissed with him. He picked Bama. Fine! But at least have the decency to do it on thre up and up, with class, and respect.

We still don't know the whole story. We don't know that he deceived Mitchell and Roberts. If it was true that Roberts knew where he was going, he might have chosen to come anyway if he developed a friendship with Evans. There's a chance that Evans wanted the announcement to be a surprise or maybe he truly just made up his mind either last night or this morning.
I also thought Evans' mom looked happier than his dad. She was the one clapping after the announcement while dad just sat there.
I'm excited for the guys who are "all Auburn" so let's move on and get behind them. With the Gumps recruiting classes, the pressure is on them to go undefeated the next few years. If they don't, then Lil Nicky will get the blame because according to the rankings, they obviously have more talent than any other team.

Y'all had gotten off Evans. My bad for getting behind and bringing it up again.

Anyway it is an awesome class and our immediate needs were met. For next year's class I hope the importance is placed on getting a feature WR for when Dook and Sammie leave next year, a High School Center. 3 to 4 OL, about 4-5 DL, a couple of stud LBs, sign a high school Star since Therezie, Garret, and Moncrief are upper classmen, and I always love me a shut down CB in a class.

I could see Braden Smith taking over at right guard when Chad Slade leaves, even though we recruited him as a tackle. I would rather him get on the field in some capacity versus him waiting for Avery Young, Shon Coleman or Pat Miller to leave.

For the first time in years, I heard many experts say that Nicky got out coached this year, especially by Gus. Bama just signed the best recruiting class in history, so when we beat them again, what does that say about Nicky's coaching ability? That's why the heat is really on him to win.

FWIW I would not be surprised if AY is gone after next season. We had great production behind him all year and he did well in the Natty after breaking his hand on the first play of the game.

I just don't see a draft grade for a RT being enough for him to go. He has two very solid years and he is a high pick. Other the. Tyron smith from USC RTs don't get drafted high
