I think to make it in the SEC you have to be good at coaching and amazing at recruiting. And the recruiting wars are only getting worse.

Guys, yall just don't know what chip would do here. He made it to the title game against us with left over 4*s that none of the California schools wanted, and while at Oregon was in at state that produces mainly 2* and 3* talent.
All of you who say his line was this or that, clearly don't realize the sheer talent disparity there is between AU and OU.
Also here in Oregon, football is not what it is down south. I live in an apartment complex that houses many players, and is close enough to Autzen to hear it erupt on gamedays.
Also to those of you who said every time he played an SEC he was pushed around... I guess I need to remind you we won on a last second field goal against them... We certainly didn't just push them around. Also I guess you missed the time he coached a game at Tennessee and OU was doing the pushing around.... Also the year he left Tennessee came here to Eugene and was stroked again. Granted that 2nd one wasn't a Chip coached team but it was a Chip recruited team. So the teams he recruited went 2-2 against SEC teams. But please do continue...
Chip Kelly would be an IMMEDIATE upgrade to CGM. And I am a Gus fan. I feel he is still learning...and we are getting what a lot knew we would... But Chip is on a whole other level.
And don't even get started on the Nike money. All the Nike money in the world didn't save Helfrich

I'm impressed this thread is going as strong as it is. A lot more folks interested in Chip and a change at the top. Do we SERIOUSLY have any chance at him? Would he want to come to AU?
