Maybe when we fire RG, it won't be an issue.
Can't. Hes from Auburn and got a couple recruits. That's good for at least another 5 years. Plus it's just a coincidence that the one year we had any kind of defense (2010) we had a defense line worth a crap. So he's not affecting the Defense with his lack of coaching.

When a team is struggling like Auburn it is normal for players to want to leave, talk about leaving, etc...the NCAA makes it tough for them to do it if they sit down and think it through.

It's not unheard of for some of dukes friends to be upset about his departure. I believe this is what is going on here and the athletes will be better once their mind is right and some time has passed. Auburn is a good place to be.

Yeah, but how many chances did Duke get? That tells the level of pussies we have playing for us.

Or that these are still kids and are kinda stupid. They don't necessarily see things rationally the way an adult would.

Two?

He was suspended twice, in which neither time included an arrest.

Wait....... you're saying that getting kicked off the team is being given another chance?

Uhh, that's not another chance?

Duke didn't get another chance from what happened Saturday night... he got kicked off the team.

His first chance was when he signed with AU.

He was suspended for the bowl game, and got a 2nd chance to redeem himself.

He was suspended again early in fall practice for and 'undisclosed violation of team rules'. He was reinstated to the team on August 13, thus getting a 3rd chance to work his way back into his teammates' and coaches' favor.

He blew his third chance Saturday night.

Ahhhh... well then every player that signs with AU is on their first chance then.

Seems like a strange way to phrase recruiting but it's not incorrect.

Think of it this way: if you cheat on your girlfriend and get caught, and you want her to forgive you, you don't ask her for a 'first chance'.

I understand it but when we are talking about players getting "chances" the rhetoric seems to indicate the second chance as the starting point and not the signing of scholarship papers as a players "first chance."

Rumor that ROC Stanton Truitt Jovon and Tony Stevens are on their way out.

PM says his guess is ROC not happy being second fiddle and Stanton not happy after having success them not getting anymore pt. Jovon isn't going to be a 3rd string guy and Tony im guessing wants to salvage what little bit of his career he can at this point. He was a highly rated 4* if I recall

Not reading all 5 pages. Is there any truth to this or just Internet BS.

This was the third time Duke screwed up. That implies he was given three separate opportunities to abide by the rules and he failed each time.

If you want to say it followed his '2nd chance', then that's fine.

But if you remember the old adage, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me", how many times would you say Duke made a fool of Gustav for trusting him?

I still count three.
