Should be here, link looks stupid.

He defends Jeremy about 4 times in the first 5 minutes. Around the 5 min mark, he says something pretty interesting. He says the Peyton Barber pass in the 4th quarter was JJ's 4th read on the play. He also says several times that he, himself, needs to do a better job of putting Jeremy in better situations. I suppose he realizes his inadequate play-calling. Thoughts?

They both need to pull their heads out of their asses or else we are going to lose a lot of football games this year.

Also, Gus needs to run JJ. He is wide open on every read option.

Hope he is doing what a coach generally should do and not throwing players under the bus by name in public, but still realizes the serious deficiencies JJ showed.

He has been doing this a lot longer than me at a much higher level and gets paid for it, so I'm sure we don't need to be worried.

Right?

Right. You can tell how pissed off/relieved he is about the game. I just really hope this isn't the beginning of the end.

It may have been his 4th option, but he threw it to barber so fast it appeared he had predetermined who he was gonna throw it to... iirc

Do you all really believe our offense is being fully implemented? do you all really believe 60 plays a game is what we are?

I will say this again. We will change tempo for the LSU game and it will put Jeremy into a better rhythm along with the rest of the team. Malzahn took chances by playing conservatively and holding back. He has done it every year that I can remember.

Whole new looking offense this week and we will run 78-82 plays. I do not expect one person to agree with me but that is my opinion. Does this mean there are no issues? No but it will look a lot different at LSU, We will win 38-24.

Enjoy your week and the game.

No offense Rocky but don't you get tired of this line of thinking. The whole"we're just keeping it vanilla". I mean this is JJ's third year in the system is Gus ever going to implement his system.?Sorry for the negativity it's just getting old..Alabama looks like world beaters with Coker who couldn't beat out Simms last year.Their running backs are straight up pummeling folks and here we are with our thumbs up our collective anuses.

I am a believer. I refuse to accept that Gus forgot how to run an offense. I also believe the D is fine assuming everyone is healthy. CL being out concerns me worse than JJ right now.

Uhhh... if you're claim is that Gus is sandbagging, then you're in for a big surprise. You don't sandbag unless you're winning handily or at least headed in that direction. This rationale reminds me of the Tony Franklin days where we looked like shite for the first two games.

Then he deserves to get his arse beat like he should have yesterday.

All Gus is saying is that he thought JJ was able to complete all the throws and that he was proven wrong. Since he was wrong, Gus admits he has to spoon feed our QB and discard much of the playbook in the future. Pretty much treat him just like the waterhose arm of Chris Todd.

I hope this helps y'all sleep better at night. If it doesnt, lesbian porn will.

If Gus runs JJ it should work, he won't have a guy ten yards around him as he crossed the line of scrimmage and should at least get two or three yards before he is tackled.

That said, watch it work. But freaking Marshall made that stuff work. People on the sideline said they couldn't tell who had the ball when Marshall was doing his magician tricks. If only his long passes had not been dropped so much.

Sure I would rather see our team running teams out of the ball park, but for whatever reason this is Gus's strategy. Whether it is a good strategy or not that is what he does. I also added I see some of the same issues as everyone else, but I believe it will look different this week.

I am not ready to throw in the towel on Johnson, but I get why everyone else is. I really don't hold it against anyone that disagrees with me. I get the frustration, but I am not in the same place as most of you in regards to Gus, Johnson, etc. Time will prove me right or wrong. I will admit I am wrong if it plays out that way.

I'm not giving up on Gus I just detest "coach speak". I just wish for once a coach would say dang I really screwed that up.

Yes I do and it almost cost him and the team. He takes a chance by doing it, but yes that is exactly what I believe.

Whether he deserved getting beat or not he didn't and is 2-0. Gamble paid off. Let's see if I'm right or that Gus is as shitty as you all feel he is, But I instructed the bus driver not to allow any of you back on once we get rolling again.

My understanding is Gus builds an offense around what he has available to him. Round peg? He creates a round hole. Instead of tubberville style round hold find the best round peg and don't change.

This is the offense he felt he could build around JJ. And it's limited. I wonder if it's where Dukes frustrations came from, he saw it coming. And that pic of Cam watching the team, he didn't look impressed. And rumors they've seen this in practice.

I've lost faith but anything can happen. Something might suddenly click. Gus might finally see what worked. Maybe run JJ if only to keep the defense honest.

Hope you're right Rocky.
