Appletini's might be a bit gay but they are very delicious.
As for Malzahn's future, I will go on record and say that we won't do shite with his contract for another 2 years after this. his buyout is crazy high and we aren't going to bury ourselves in debt again.

At least Butch Jones isn't our coach

Agreed. It's just depressing watching alabama's defensive line and the pressure they bring as well as the linebackers being punishers. Then you have kris frost and chickfila mckinzey and almost every d-lineman suck for us. :(

they literally take all the linemen and linebackers they want from us though. when is the last time other than Tre Williams that we won a battle for those spots against Bama?

What's much more concerning for the program than the coaching is the Athletic Department. That's where I think we need change. The things we're hearing right now about how out of date our facilities are and how we're starting to fall behind to the point where it's effecting recruiting are scary. New dorms, wellness center, giant video screen... Those things are great, but it's the compound where the players spend most of their time. It's the stadium that wows recruits on the visit, and everybody knows JHS has been needing upgrades and a facelift in a bad way for a while now. We're spending money on these little cosmetic bandaids, but we don't seem to be taking steps towards any real solutions besides "talking" about "probably" starting to get a plan together in a couple years. These things already take a few years to complete, and a lot can happen to a program in that time span.

Yup. It's pretty ridiculous to hear that we are falling behind in those areas. I think your right. JJ has to go.

not sure what facilities they are talking about because we redid most of the stuff when we built the 100k SF indoor practice field. I think we got new weight rooms and new film rooms in that building but I could be wrong on that.

I agree with this but it is tough to make those commitments when you don't sell out every game and have tons of cash at your disposal. I would love for us to do nothing but renovate, take in the north end zone but keep capacity close to what it is now and focus on the nice upgrade rather than just adding another 20k seats.

If the team wasn't so retarded and disfunctional, facilities would be the least of our worries.

Lol isn't that one of the consensus auburn answers haha cmon man we gotta fire somebody every other year!

Malzahn isn't going anywhere. Look at LSU, their coach is a mess, look at their play last year. now look.
You just have to ride it out and this year just became a building year. Keep getting better and ruin someone else's season. The coaches really really have free reign now to just develop the younger players.

Finally a logical statement as compared to just firing everyone.

Football facilities go way beyond just a practice field and weight room. Players spend the majority of their time there. They eat there, study there, hang out there, hell its even trendy now to put barber shops in the football facilities now.
Check out the facility Kansas State built this year for $65 million. Blows ours away. Kansas fricking State is ahead of us. LINK
Oregon's facility looks like an episode of MTV Cribs LINK
Alabama's is even more insane. They have a freaking arcade, pool hall, hot tubs with waterfalls LINK
Texas A&M LINK
Get the idea? Ours is alright, but compared to those is pretty average and not nearly as all encompassing
