When I first heard that we were hiring Steele, I immediately thought this. Steele and Thompson have been good friends for a while and both left Alabama at the same time. Right now it's about keeping the same scheme and recruiting more defensive talent, which Steele fits the bill for both. Keeping Thompson is also extremely important. Steele is a 4-3 guy, but he's also implemented 3-4 schemes which is good considering we played odd front a little this season.

I'd say it's probably the most important aspect as far as recruiting goes. AU would do well to give him a raise on that fact alone.

Somebody needs to tell Gus being able to coach your position is just as important, if not more, as recruiting.
