Way too immature... would be a potential disaster.

Hell to the no. I don't want Kiffin any where near Auburn's campus.

I see some of you have been pushed so close to the edge that you are prepared to double-down on “laughing stock”.

Those plus Brohm, Petrino, Chris Peterson, Justin Wilcox or DJ Dunkin. Would rather have an established coach with a track record.
ETA
Brian Harsen. There are plenty of coaches who have had success without the negative press Kiffin would bring.

I say offer Chip Kelly or Bob Stoops a blank check first.

quote:Not just no; hell no!
Lane Kiffin
In his one year at Tennessee he was already getting into some really grey areas in recruiting. With the way the Alabama media and booster base is, they would be following his every move and turning over every little thing to the NCAA. With the issues in softball and both basketball problems, we sure don't need another issue in football.
Besides, what has he really done to prove he is capable of running a P5 program? He bolted from Rocky Top after a so-so year. SC, who knows, but you can't assume he would have done well there after the NCAA issues were resolved.
Even at FAU, he is a big name and brings hype and excitement, but you can't judge him on one year. After 2013, who thought Gus was going to be sitting at the top of the SEC for the next few years? Didn't quite turn out that way, did it?
