I really wish we would hold him out unless we absolutely need him. The healthier/fresher he is for our stretch run the better.
Ole Miss scares me more than than any other game save Bama. I think we could win without KJ, but I hope he plays. I'm excited to see the Pettway, KJ combo in action again too.
KJ will get plenty of time to rest in the second half of the Vandy game and most of the A&M game to make sure he is ready for UGA/Bama.

I can't explain it but the whole thing cracks me up. Yeah, I'm gonna PPAP for a while.
I really enjoy the Asian women doing their part in spreading the good work of PPAP.

I know there are a lot of big Kerryon fans here and I like the guy in a supporting role,
...but I want Pettway to be our primary RB.
Pettway averages a full yard per carry more than KB.
But more importantly, we have looked our absolute best as an offense when Pettway was our guy.
For Ole Mess Up....2/3 rushes to Pettway and 1/3 to Kerryon. No more.

quote:lol if you don't think kerryon wouldn't have upped his ypc average and looked just as good against msu and arkansas. kerryon was a beast against lsu, averaging more ypc than Pettway that game

Yep
He has proven to be able to run between the tackles.
There is a place for both of them, but KJ could have put up some gaudy numbers in those two games.

go heavy on Pettway for a quarter and all of a sudden the LBs arent so eager to meet you in the hole and are real slow getting up. then it opens things up for everyone.

Both need to be used and I can't argue with your post.

against defenses that can actually hit you (like Clemson and LSU) kerryon showed out.
If he's close to 100%, KJ needs to play.

.. and then Staton them on first drive of fourth for back to back scores.

Pettway and KJ about 50/50 split in carries first half. After defense is gassed...
JFII, Stanton Truitt, and Kam Martin in 2nd half.

WAOM ranks 113th agains the run dead arse last in SEC. There are people in rascals at Walmart that could go for a 100 on that D. KJ has better big play potential than Kam. So hopefully he breaks some big ones and Kam pounds them into submission in the 3rd.

Take this FWIW, as I may be totally off base, but I think one of the positive changes in the offense since Gustav stepped back from play calling has been a move away from "strategic" plays.
It always seemed to me, even when he was our OC, that Gustav would occassionally call a couple of plays that simply weren't going to work at the time, but were setting the defense up to burn them later in the game.. For example, almost always running a dive up the middle on 1st down when we're going tempo. The problem with this approach is that not only does the first play not work (usually because the defense alignment may be ideal to stop it, but we run it anyway), but sometimes the gane situation dictates that we can't run the play we were trying to set up in the first place.
Since the switch in responsibilities, it appears to me that Lashlee/Hand are more likely to run what appears to be working, based on defensive personnel and in-game trends. So I don't see them saying "we'll do this in the first half, them switch philosophies in the second and catch them off guard" - it's more like, "the current pattern of play selection is killing them, let's keep it up until they figure out how to stop it".
Thus, I think we see plenty of KJ and Bubba in the first half. And hopefully the Ole Freeze defense becomes very familiar with the backs of their jerseys, receding in the distance.
