Is it? If you don't win with that kind of talent, is it worth an investigation?

The blame for this fall squarely on the head coach.

Damn, I support every kid on that team but is it OK if I feel extra special bad for KJ?

I feel bad for him and Stidham.

He could have gone to UF and made them 7-0 at this point.

Now if Missouri goes on to beat UGA tonight then it's that annual fricked up weekend where it sucks to be ranked. Because there is no business of Missouri being within 40 and it's tied 14-14.

But that's no excuse. Fire Gus.

CBS reported the following Gus quote at halftime:

"I reminded our players that we have not won in Baton Rouge since 1999 and we currently have a 9 point lead. We are in a very good position."

Is this real???

Believe or not, players do get paid these days legally.

I think its something like $1,000 per month for rent and offsite dining.

Just saying.

Don't get your hopes up that God is finally going to stop punishing us and have UGA lose.

To put it into perspective of how just how bad we sat on the lead

Play run/pass from our first drive after going up 20-0 until we lost the lead

1st Down- 100% Run / 0% Pass
2nd Down- 69.2% Run/ 30.8% Pass
3rd Down- 33.3% Run/ 66.6% Pass

If you remove the obvious 'passing situations' 3 & 7+ or 2 & 11+

1st Down- 100% Run / 0% Pass
2nd Down- 81.8% Run / 18.2% Pass
3rd Down- 50% Run / 50% Pass

1/2 Downs: 92% Run / 8% Pass

In non obvious passing situations: 92% of first / second downs were runs

Here's the weird AF part though, running KJ was probably a winning strategy. It was Pettway who tanked us

KJ on 1st down during that stretch got 4+ yd on 7/9 runs (~4ypc on 1st down during game)

In the game there were 8 occurrences when KJ ran on both 1st & 2nd down, he got 4 first downs, 3 & 1, 3 & 2, 3 & 5 and 3 & 9

Which is another reason why the 4th and 1 punt made zero sense. KJ was gashing them all 1sr half and popping ~4 yards a carry in the second. He gets one 1 yard run on 3rd down and Gus chickens out of going for it on 4th and 1 at the 50 yard line.

People can point to the punt return TD as the turning point of the game, but I’d say that 4th down decision was when the game was lost.
