JR I very obviously the most gifted back on the team. Barber is pretty good but javon is gifted.

I was wondering the same. Surely it's just something weird that happened.

I want to believe we are not that dumb but if the level of tard we show on the field is any indication, then really anything is possible.

Better vision, tougher runner, harder to tackle.

Both should play. Roc should be benched or used as a WR

Yards per carry and plays over 20 yards. JR Is the man. A much better homerun threat. Feed him the rock. Said it before the season and after yesterday it was obvious.

I hyperextended my knee earlier this year and it can happen on some real weird shite. Definitely doesn't require contact.

When had Roc shown anything at all this year? He could be nasty as shite in space but he's still trying to run like he has a high school level talent gap IMO. I think he's going to have to make some changes to how he approaches things before he sees success.

Barber is a great second half back. When teams are tired and exhausted, he still plays near 100%

I'd prefer to have a 20-20-10 breakout of carries with Jovon, Barber and KJ. Barber with most of his kn second half

That sounds like a recipe for success to me for sure. What Barber MAY lack in physical prowess, he makes up for with will. He has put this team on his back quite a few times this year and that cannot be discounted.

you can only drop so many flare passes without losing the fans. Especially when the first drop of your career comes in the Iron Bowl and it results in a turnover and 7 point deficit right out of the gate. Plus he is made of glass and runs scared when he gets to the edge

On a 3rd down play yesterday where he caught a pass in the flat, he had an easy path to a 1st down if he'd just made a cut and played tough. What did he do? He stopped.

He fricking STOPPED.

And the Ole Miss players stopped him short of the 1st down.

I want to see a lot more of JR. I don't want to see us use three RBs consistently. It would be wise to use Jovon as the feature back and bring in Barber when he's tired...much like the Mason, CAP duo of 2013. We finally saw JR get into a rhythm yesterday, and if we rotate RB just about every play, then we ruin the opportunity.

Well too bad because I think our new offensive philosophy is triple running back threat, quadruple quarterback option. MFNHU (Mind frick No Hurry Up).

Unfortunately, you're right.

In theory, it sounds great! Three RB's—so they'll never be tired, they all bring different skill sets that the defense has to adjust to, and it allows for more offensive creativity.

In execution it's terrible! There's no continuity, no rhythm, and only more question marks about who is the best RB we should be playing.

A pattern has emerged that as an AU running back, you will either get very little playing time at all or get run into the ground. I don't like this. Why would recruits like it?

That's generally how most schools do it unless you've got two backs like Arkansas had last year. The staff isn't going to give CAP more carries in 2013 just for recruiting purposes.

We don't have a talent problem at the RB position

Who have we run into the ground? Tre Mason & CAP both got drafted thanks to their workloads.

To me I think Roc & KJ need to be more guys we use in the slot & on speed sweep & save the bulk of the in between tackle carries for Jovon & Peyton. Would love to see some sets where we line both Barber & Jovon in backfield with KJ or Roc in slot & run that triple option threat where we could give it or Sean could throw it to the flat.

Let's hope Jovon stays out of doghouse because he has next level talent. Love Peyton & his power but Jovon showed better vision & ability to make more people miss

My issue with the RB's this year is that I don't see the leg drive that we've seen in the past with Ben Tate, Tre Mason, and CAP. Those guys were always churning their legs after contact. The current crop seems to be content with falling forward for a yard or two instead of fighting for more yardage. Anyone else notice this?
