Our only hope is JJ jams his thumb on his throwing hand or gets a paper cut.

JJ, as bad he has been, is still at 60% completion, a couple rush TDs and led a game tying drive against Jax St

I realize he has been pretty dang bad, but given the right package the offense is more productive than with Sean McFumble who can't throw down the field

It is all about the interceptions, and even more specifically how poor those choices were to ever make those throws. I have no problem putting him in situations to help ease him back again and see if he has corrected the issues. But there is no way this team is good enough to overcome easy interceptions like he was prone to do. Sean McFumble recovered the ball --- he did not throw it directly to the defenders for what, six interceptions that should have been nine?

Remember Petey in Remember the Titans? He was a fumble machine. Clearly they weren't going to ask him to go back out and do what he was doing, that is moronic. Instead they plugged him in a position to better utilize his skills and remove him from his problem area.

With JJ, he clearly can't be the Tom Brady pick the defense apart QB. So don't ask him to be. Instead, give him a more basic Nick Marshall offense. Let him run the RO, give him high percentage throws and don't ask him to make reads.

I don't think he can do what Nick Marshall did. I absolutely think that Jeremy Johnson is athletic enough to run Nick's offense reasonably well

Jeremy Johnson has never given a single signal that he has EVER had a desire to actually do his part in a read-option offense. In fact, its my opinion that he's often given the OPPOSITE signal while "running" those plays in the past.

So now, all of a sudden, things are 100% different? How?

I don't know if he can do it, but he has the skillset. I just am convinced that JJ views himself as a passer not a runner, so he plays that way.

If you tell him "You're a runner who passes" the mentality that goes with that makes you more open to use your athleticism.

If he can't do that, let him try out for basketball

Until one of these guys steps up and OWNS the job, what else can Gus do? I'd give Johnathan Wallace a shot. That dude isnt the most talented ,but he is a warrior.

White hasn't had an opportunity to step up. He has been hand cuffed by shitty play calling thus far.

While I don't disagree, at what point do fans realize that Sean White can't throw a deep ball well? It is clear that past 20 yards he isn't reliable

Its clear that JJ can not see a LB. As far as White, he does not have a large enough body of work for me to make that call. Just put the ball where your receivers can make a play.
