That was a beautiful deep ball he threw. In fact, both deep passes he has actually thrown were money. But the best thing was how effortlessly he scrambled for that 1St down, and probably could've done that all game with the blitzing uat was doing up the middle.

Are you serious?!? JJ can't throw the fricking ball.. PERIOD! I'm not a JF3 fan, but Gus only gave him a few opportunities to throw the ball... and when he did, he looked as good as JJ if not better!
We at least got 4 yards a carry on the read option when he was in, until we continued to call the same play over and over,,... can't do that Mickey Mouse bullshite with saban

I wouldn't stick around if was hoping to make it as a QB. Rhett s QB development sucks. Then combine it with the merry go round rotation Gus likes to run and no QB should want to come.

Idk what game you we're watching, but the only two drives JF3 had, he moved the offense down the field in scoring position both times. Not sure how you think JJ was the best chance to win. Lol

You mean exactly what happened to JJ anyways?

what melt? Our running back depth is very thin and if Pettway can get drafter top 3 rounds (which is possible) then he should go. He takes a lot of hits and will have a short shelf life so another season in college doesn't help him in terms of getting drafted.

Kerryon could be good enough to be drafted after next season too. He looked great in flashes this season but just wasn't consistent.

Who else do we have on roster at the moment to take it up next year? We are bringing in another JUCO back (I'm good with) and a freshman but we are still really thin. The ones on roster are Malik Miller and Kam Martin and both could be good but we don't know the extent yet.

Not shocked at that. It's clear our staff never really trusted him to play the spot. My biggest issue with him is sucks at the read option. He got Pettway killed on a clear keep that would have gotten 5-6 yards. It's clear he has all sorts of athleticism and a cannon of an arm but lacks the touch to be consistently good.

For 2017 we have to hope that either Stidham signs or that Woody Barrett is ready to go by week 6-7 when White goes down with another injury

I don't blame him. Every time he's moving the ball, Gus puts his son JJ in. And on 4th down, Gus let's a fricking fullback pass the ball instead of him. I'd tell booger eater to suck a dick.

this right here. saban could have swapped teams and beta our arse worse than he did with his own.

He stinks at the zone read. Never saw enough passing to make a complete decision but suspect he was average at best.

I'm not a huge fan of Franklin and don't know if he ever would've figured it out, but it took Nick Marshall a few games to learn how to make the read in the read option. He hasn't had enough time to run it perfectly, IMO.

When you're looking at depth two years out, you're always going to look thin. It's college football. They're only here 3-5 years.

You guys still sticking to the he can't throw mantra I see.

I guess once you've got your head in the sand might as well keep it there.

The two best passes all season were both by JFIII. Don't know what his completion % is but it's high enough.

I see Gus isn't the only moron.

LOL at anyone who thinks he doesn't easily give us the best option to win.

It's ok to admit you were wrong. Way wrong.

Yea no kidding, obvious to everyone and anyone except Gus. I'm not saying he's Peyton Manning but people on here act like he throws like Khiel Frazier.

In his very limited opportunity he has shown promise.

If he were given a chance to get some reps at both the read option and throwing he could develop into a pretty good QB.

Unfortunately we wasted a million chances this year to give him those reps.

I'm still trying to figure out why Rhett gave him a scholarship. Yeah he's blazing fast but his attitude is not worth the scholly. If he leaves it will be his 3rd school were he wasn't treated fair or given his shot by his standards
