That our leadership allowed the FB program to spiral into the dumps to a point where we had a legacy transfer out to the west coast and become a heisman finalist… pointing at those that allowed Gus to hang around too long, the ones responsible for ghe hiring of Steven leath, Allen green and the potato famine …

Nah he wasn't that good and was too mentally weak to cut it at auburn. We've been way better off running with tj, ash, and throne

Can someone list all the big games/championships Bo Nix won in his FIVE years in college football?

You think nix could have had that success at Auburn? Against these defenses?

We have seen plenty of people have success against SEC defenses. We have seen Nix have success against some of the average to worse SEC defenses.

Yes Nix can have success. Give him the talent and he can have success. He could have had a succcessful year if he was the guy for UA, LSU, Ole Miss, or Bama this year. I believe that is how we should help a QB. By giving him the reasons to have success.

It's pretty funny the "SEC defense" narrative is still a thing. Outside of UGA our defenses are nothing special anymore.

The biggest shame is that for many Auburn fans, they don’t get to talk about Bo Nix anymore except for the NFL draft day.

I feel bad for many people that this discussion is almost over. They will have to start talking about our current players again.

It's sad the the anti-OL recruiting narrative started under Gus is a hole we are still digging ourselves out of. I see it getting better but I would love to be high on lists for in state kids year in and year out.

Since Bo got to AU

With Bo 21-10
Without Bo 11-17 (this includes when Bo was injured)

I think that sums it up pretty well

Auburn (36th in scoring defense), LSU, Georgia (9th scoring D), A&M (31st scoring D), and Bama (17th scoring D) have good talent everywhere. With good talent the opportunity for offenses and defenses to reload.

I believe A&M (9th total D) played D better against us than all teams this year. Georgia and A&M on average held teams to less than 300 yards per game. Bama held teams to less than 320 on average. That is pretty suffocating. The rest shows the SEC wasn't all that dominating.

The Pac12 was undoubtedly weaker than the SEC, I just don't why people act like QBs tearing up the SEC is unheard of.

Nix beat a solid Alabama team in 2019 as a true freshman. He always had the potential; our coaching staffs never gave him the weapons he needed. Offensive line play was atrocious, WR play was inconsistent at best. It’s an interesting what if, but I do think that had our football program even been remotely stable between 2019-2021, he could have been very successful at Auburn. Hard to be consistent when you have nothing to work with and have experienced 2 head coaches, 3 OCs, and totally different schemes in 3 seasons.

This is gonna be a nice bump after bowl games. And likely an even better bump after draft day. Bo is the same QB he was when he left. He does not get the ball out on time very often, his footwork and mechanics are HS level, and he can’t throw the deep ball.

I think he throws it pretty well when he goes deep. What makes you say that?

The footwork and mechanics are fair criticisms, but his deep ball is fine.

Here is highlight video full of the deep ball. He was actually statistically one of the best at the deep ball.

I mean. I didnt think he was the problem when he left. He just needed more weapons and time to throw the ball.

He's a damn good QB. Whats a shame is we didn't build around him. An offensive line would of been a good place to start.

He was better than he was given credit for absolutely.

What I don’t get is why he still whines about the fans? He got booed once when he had a meltdown against Ga St. what does he think would have happened anywhere else, much less the pros.
