Why pretend that Lawson doesn't have a major impact on the defense when he plays? Defense looked totally different with him out despite the competition we faced. It helped to have Matthews in at safety because he made a difference as well.

No, we aren't dead, but the other DE's couldn't seal the corners the way Lawson did, and that is a big deal.

Garret was a good presence on the field as well btw.

this isn't true. he abused Tunsil as a freshman.

really don't think he is the one player that would put AU over the top versus LSU

He's the best player on our team, by a good margin I think.

What is this talent exactly? Besides Adams? Lawson's backups are nowhere near as good as he is.

Lawson took over that game late. If there is one thing AU fans should be agreement on it's Lawson is a badass

I still think we win without him but I would be WAY more confident if he was playing

As good as Lawson could potentially be, we've never seen him have a dominant game against a good opponent, yet you guys act like he is absolutely vital.
Not only is he our best player, he covers a ton of other weaknesses that no one else does.

Our other ends get exposed and can't set the edge or keep containment so Adams can make plays.

Our corners are average at best in coverage and his pass rush gives them a chance to look much better than they are.

Our lbs are worse in coverage than our cbs and his pass rush again gives them a chance.

He disrupts the timing of plays which allows us to get more people in position to make tackles thus when someone misses a tackle the results aren't disastrous.

We are bad on defense without him. We can be good on defense with him.

The end.

Twice. The second time absolutely saved the game. It was one on one with Yeldon, no help, Lawson stuffed him cold on 4th and inches at about our own 18 yard line. Lawson doesn't make that difficult play, 90% chance we lose.

Yeah we fricked. Only hope is if we have zero turnovers and Les goes super conservative.

After that arse beating we gave LSU last year...not sure what he'll do. Really pissed I wanted a 2-0 against LSU.

D Lambert is too slow to play DE the way he does; seems like he thinks he's faster than he really is. There was one play last wk where him and Cass both played the qb to the inside, and he burnt them outside.

Kennion seems to be the same. We really need Holland and Cowart to step up, esp if Garrett is out, which is scary. Cass or Frost may be able to handle the buck, but I don't have much faith in Frost at either spot without Cass playing beside him

Everyone needs to just shut the frick up. Lawson is hurt. It is going to take some time for him to heal so he can get hurt again.

We have other guys with talent, it is just time for them to contribute and learn.

Lawson woud not be a factor if he did play hurt. Let the fricking guy heal and then we will see what injury he gets next

Jeffery Holland, come on down
