Kerryon Johnson is making a move up the depth chart. Expect an increased roll for him.

Its no secret Jovon expressed his frustration on the sidelines last week. Expect him to get carries this week.

Still unclear if Lawson will play.

Trey Mathews will play

Avery Young could have played last week. He'll start tomorrow.

Justin Garrett is unclear like Lawson.

Coaches did a bad job of preparing the team for Jax State. The prep for LSU has been much different and Gus has been very hands on with the offense.

PMs source says run fits will be key against LF

If you're looking for a bright spot look at Monty. "He hasn't been blocked yet"

The players "believe they are going to win"

So he whines and we tell him okay we will play you? We screwed.

If Lawson can come in on 3rd downs only, that would help.

Our defense doesn't get to 3rd down enough for it to matter IMO

Wonder how the coaches did a poor job prepping the team?

Gus taking over the Offense and being more hands on means maybe Rhett screwed the pooch the first two games?

I am starting to think that they both play and Gus is just keeping it close to him.

The fact that he is much more hands on with the offense is comforting and scary at the same time.

Who was doing the offense before? Will we see a totally different offense this week (read option with keepers)? Will we see the same offense but execution and success go up?

Not having Carl is concerning, but I have been assuming that based on what we are told is his injury. That being said I do believe LSU O is one that we would need Carl to stop "relatively" less than others.

The O must play to potential to win this game.

Rumors swirling that Lawson isn't even making the trip. Anybody know anything more about this?

STUDENT REPORTS:
One saw him on crutches, other assured that he will play.

I believe he makes the trip, but will NOT start. Obvious passing downs only

If he plays, he will play IMO.

I see no reason he would be limited to passing downs. He may play less overall plays if his conditioning is not where it needs to be though.

I am with you. And if he is not ready, then that is really all there is to it and we should just hope he is 100% for Miss State.

That's huge. We need him just as bad as Carl.

Not sure how much stock you guys put in Jason Caldwell, but he just answered a question, wherever it is that he answers questions, and said that he doesn't think Lawson will play.

I don't think things are trending in the direction of lawson playing. I think he could play, but his injury is the type that could be chronic if he he doesn't let it fully heal and we have a long season ahead still.
