Hiring coaches is the most visible thing an AD does. Hiring coaches is unpredictable.
What bothers me is the overall management of the Athletic department, we are way behind the times. We waste money on a lot of unneeded employees. JJ has not been a good streward of our funds.
The score board sucks. Every SEC west team has enhanced their stadium. We draw up plans. Auburn has higher revenues than most, yet we are falling behind.

I have no complaints about people bitching about how he runs the AD. Making a thread every other week calling for Jacobs to get fired is getting old though. And complaining about the barbee years or the three previous baseball coaches is counter productive. What good is that even going to do?

He is hiring coaches that have a chance to win titles not just games. If you don't like it - pull for UGA. Also, we are dealing with Saban and his get whoever he wants recruiting process. The only problem I have is the football tickets are 115$ bucks a piece. The product is not there this year for that kind of coin. 5 games and I can buy my own damn 100in big screen.

Sonny Galloway was a great hire on paper. Oklahoma was happy to get him off their books because he had a nasty attitude and did not know how to treat other people with any kind of respect. He knew baseball though and the baseball team is getting better.
The other basketball hires were bad. One of the baseball hires already was bad. We had a dynasty in swimming and diving. Jay Jacobs started off by running off David Marsh, who was the coach of the teams. Jay Jacobs has made Auburn athletics look bad the past decade. We have entered into an abyss of inconsistency.

HE doesn't advocate for the best interest of Auburn at all. Otherwise we wouldn't be playing Bama, UGA, and the Mississippi schools on the road every other year.
We already struggled in alternate years and this boob made it worse
Also, a stronger AD would have pushed harder for Auburn to move East when re-alignment initially occurred.

The score board is fine, but dear god the sound system is still abysmal. I'm on the other side of the stadium, and I can barely make out what is being said/played half the time. His management of our Athletic facilities and the entire department has always been questionable. We are falling behind in a lot of areas, and with our revenue, that should never happen. There was a reason Tubs was so adamant against him being the AD.

I thought it had to be a package deal with Bama and Auburn move to the East and Vandy and Mizzo to the west. It would keep the UT/UA and UGA/ AU rivalries.
