Does Auburn (in typical Auburn fashion) hire/promote within the system (Pat Dye approved hire?) OR go out and hire someone outside the "Family"

My guess is we hire another "keep it down home" yes man. He will probably have to quote the Creed as part of the interview process.

If wouldn't mind Scott Etheridge, despite being "in the family"

Did you really want an answer or did you just want to post a joke that's been posted about a thousand times?

Wasn't Scott E interviewed back when JJ was hired? I think he was be pretty solid. At least he has held a job outside Lee County

This board has gone to the gutter, we have alters everywhere. Who is letting all of these idiots in?

I say we hire Tubs and then hire Paul Rhodes as head coach.

Throw $1M/year at Mitch Barnhart and make him tell you no.

I want someone at a small school who has out performed with a tiny budget. That way they will appreciate what we have and put it to good use.

Agree on ethridge. He is Auburn family but isn't part of the current GOBN.

Would be a great hire, but he's not going anywhere.

Tommy Freaking Tuberville

No experience, but he is better than what we have and probably better than Jacobs' eventual replacement.

Hates recruiting, so that probably includes recruiting coaches. He'd end up hiring some division II coaches.

I think Tubs would be excellent for the football program.

Honestly, the best hire would be a proven AD that can be a CEO, manage the donations/budget, and make good coaching hires. I think it's time to break up the entire athletic department. There are still some folks hanging around from the Housel era, Jacobs included. They seem to be part of our problems...
