I have been to 5-6 over the years, but would not attend one now.

Sit-outs and generally nothing to play for for Auburn after a long season.

I said this today as well. Unless you just want something to do and have the money to burn ...

No reason to invest hard in a bowl game

Most bowl games are pointless. The season is over for all but four teams. Who gives a shite

Or any regular season game either unless the tickets are free. Refuse to pay to see absolute trash

When was the last time you were proud of a meaningless bowl win?

Was referring to the players not wanting their team or school to lose

Wife and I went as a mini vacation. Never been to Nashville. Not a big fan. Crowded. Homeless. It’s like Bourbon St meets Gatlinburg. Anyway, wife likes that shite so we came. Checked Nashville off my list. Can’t think of a reason to come back.

They are only pointless when you lose.

Actually helped to let the young d-backs and others practice and play. Bowl games and away games are worthless if you experience expect to win. You go to visit another city.

Yep. This is a loser complaint because we keep getting our asses kicked

This is a personal problem for folks that want to make a rule because of it

There are pointless regardless because there is no carryover to next season.

It doesn't help us to be 7-6 or 6-7. Maybe a few players got a few snaps. Does that carry over to Spring?

Doubtful.....

Better to find out now that HG ain't the answer and HB is AOK.

Fo sure... there's immediate playing time at AU.

And some kids might want to save some of that NIL before blowing it all away.

It’s an extra game to play and win. That used to mean something

The college landscape is changing to the point where any potential draft pick might opt out but the mindset of less games to lose is held by folks that never played sports, IMO.

Edit: I occasionally understand when players opt out. Your team’s coach is canned, you’re a 1st round pick already with some injury concerns as it is. There’s a few situations I get

Fans opting out because it’s another game they have to handle losing is so fricking weak to me lol. If it’s so meaningless then what does it matter?

Problem is every kid thinks he is the next first pick in the draft and will make $40 million on draft day. Seeing these late round/FA guys sit out is maddening. It never used to happen before about 5 years ago.

One thing I wish that would happen is the NFL drop it's "3 year rule" and let legit draft picks go out of HS. This would narrow the field of all the "my draft stock bro" guys and leave us with guys who actually care about CFB.

Disagree. Who cares that we beat Purdue 88-7 a few years ago. It meant nothing the day it happened, means nothing now

I do. It was a great game for us.

Today, not so much.

We were talking today about how we have a three game losing streak in Bowls. And now we have a four game. It matters. It is always better to win and with bowl games, it is easy to say it doesn’t if you lose.
