The further you line up from the ball when it is snapped the less important you are to the success of a team.

It is when you consider position groups verses specific position. I.E. Oline verses tackle and center. The WR is by far the least impactful position on O. Any DC will tell you it is easier to take a great WR out of a game than it is to take a great QB, RB or TE/HB...or deal with a great Oline. To clarify I never said WR's don't have value or can't help a teams cause. I just believe to many people worry to much about it as a position of importance. The difference between a good WR and a great one is generally the QB throwing the ball at them. Obviously they are a few examples to the contrary. They are typically top 5 NFL type WR's...however even with Julio bama managed to loose 3 games in 2010. The reason was despite his greatness the position by nature limits its impact on a teams success.

Then why do tackles make way more than guards and centers?

That's actually becoming not true VERY rapidly. Gs and Cs are making up to $13mm.

Highest paid G is $13.2mm, highest OT is $13.6mm.

Horrible analogy. Better not be putting any kind of icing other than buttercream on my fricking cakes. That whipped shite can ruin a cake.

Looks like Gus is expecting to have Kyle back and ready to go at the beginning of fall practice.

If you believe in that sort a thing

Hope so....

With some of the success we saw early and his addition. The passing game should be pretty dangerous.

Please, please, please!!!

The big thing to me is Gus doesn't seem to be dancing the question. I am still not sure what will happen but fact gus has stayed consistent with answer is encouraging.

I badly want to see KD out there with Stidham and NCM

I want to see his talent out there, but ONLY if he wants to be a teammate, and not the team.

There are several red flags here, that goes without saying. It only takes one Prima-Donna to ruin a season.

I dislike Saban more than most, but he knows how to manage his guys with "ME" issues. He is capable of humbling kids most would allow to upset the apple cart. That, I give him credit for.

I hope so too - but a coach "expecting" him doesn't really mean much. A coach always expects great effort - doesn't necessarily get it all the time. Who knows what KD 'needs to do' to get back, and more on him than anything. The positive takeway is that Gus is obviously willing to let him back whatever the LOA was for.
