That end part right there says it all. He knows it, he knew it before last night. Dead man walking.

"So if anyone would like to ask me that again, I'll say it for the 4th time."

frick I can't stand him.. He didn't answer one goddamned question, just like a politician. Protecting that buyout I suppose.

OK, smart guys, if Chiz were to depart by whatever means now, who would coach the team? Do you honestly think that would be better?

I have said it a few times now. If the powers that be are dead set on Petrino, fire Chizik and bring him in now. At least he would get to see what the existing coaches are like to see if he wants to keep any of them.

I think that I would rather watch 12 minutes of gay pr0n than watch another Chiz press conference. I can't stand the was he babbles in catchphrases and gives nothing of any value. Who does he think that he is fooling???

I'm on board with this. This season is done. If Petrino is the man, it can do nothing but give him a head start towards next year.

But I doubt there is a consensus on who we want right now.

I get more and more nervous as time goes on tbh. the longer he goes without being canned the more I think he will be back next season.

surely at this point its not an option right? He's guaranteed gone, right? Someone comfort me

Absolutely gone. As little of faith as I have in auburn, I can say he will be gone. He will cost the school too much money

If he resigned wouldn't he potentially forfeit the buyout? Don't look for him to resign.

Movement today. Last night probable changed the timing.

RUMOR: Scott Etheridge will be interim AD.

Not sure who could be interim HC.

He is gone. Certain. The fanbase would revolt and season ticket sales would plummet as well as donations. It would cost more to keep him in terms of revenue loss IMO.

Don't you think that Tubs was fired? I believe that he was fired and then JJ lied and said that they had asked him to stay.

Also heard it last night in the scholarship section, but only as a name that should be considered. Still called it a rumor.

ETA: of course I also heard Charlie Trottman.

Heard second hand from someone who I know has connections in the AD. he said that they are looking to clean house in AD and a few sports but they are looking to raise 20$ million from boosters and are around 9-10ish.

Chiziks mom dying took the decision of firing off the table.

Tim Jackson sits in on almost.every meeting and always every recruiting meeting and has veto power over the coaching staff. Everyone hates him and he undermines the entire staff consistently

TIFWIW figured worth sharing
