I tend to think we're going to struggle a little on offense in this game, but will manage to keep UL out of the endzone enough to win.

Let's say 31-23, good guys. One of our TDs comes from defense or ST play.

I think louisville's strategy looks like South Carolina last year with a deep pass play most drives. Hopefully our defense won't let it stay as close and we pull away in the 2nd half. 45-28

That's kinda my feeling as well. Petrino will take a page from Spurrier's book from last year. Some of 4th down attempts and deep pass plays.

Going to be 38 - 24 if we are slow out of the gate.

If we come out firing on all cylinders, then we win 51 - 28. They score a late TD while we have the young guys in.

Lawson makes everyone a believer.

It feels like Auburn Eagle up in here.

If we come out and win by double digits I'll be floored. Too many new parts against a team coached by a guy that has given Auburn fits in the past. Nothing spells out a 2 or 3 TD win for me

So in my boredom over summer I went back and watched all our offensive snaps with Gus as HC/OC against Grantham when he was at UGA 2010, 2011 & 2013. Also watched their games against Clemson & UGA last season. Some quick thoughts

1.) Thank GOD Parker, Mauldin & Holloman are all gone. Those dudes were good & I am pretty sure Parker would have raped our defense

2.) Their ILB's are very talented. The guys are fast and react well. There were a few times they were covering WRs 30 yds down the field and breaking passes up

3.) Have to win the battle up front on both sides. On offense Austin Golson is going to deal with a very good NG to start the season which worries me. If he handles him then we can get to those ILBs and run for days. If not, then things might get tough

4.) Gus has shredded Grantham when he has a talented QB. He did what he wanted in 2010 & 2013 and I think we have a better passer this year than either of those seasons

5.) I don't think they have great depth in their front 7. Their starting 7 are VERY good but after that things start getting thinner. If we can string some drives together and start wearing em out we can put em away in the 4th.

I am predicting 34-21 win. It will be close at half but I think we shut em out in 2nd half and pull away in 4th with a late TD. I think their OL is really gonna struggle containing Lambert, Lawson & Adams but they hit on 1 or 2 big pass plays to their talented WRs. So ready for some football!!!

Good I hope that's the case but I've seen time and time again that we are always way too optimistic in these threads and it leads to my disappointment when we have to drive 80 yards in the 4th to win it

What about the times we are right?

Which is all that matters despite predictions.

Look at 2010 and 2013. Tough games and luck went our way in some. You need all of that to make a championship run. In some cases on paper we should roll a team, but they came prepared and maybe we were off a little and the score is close. Win It!!!
