Think of all of the games we raced out to a big lead and blow it in the second half, 2013 NC game for one example or how we struggle on offense in the first half only to come out in the second half and run the same plays that didn't work in the first half. I was always on the Gus Bus but it's apparent he's in over his head, but I don't want another HC hired until JJ is gone.

FIRE JAY JACOBS!!

Nailed it!

In all seriousness, it is pretty simple what has happened:

His ego got way too inflated, Jimbo and Jameis popped it like a balloon causing him to now second guess every single thing as he is too broken. Others on the 2013 staff saw the change, the stubbornness and got the hell out.

He has checked out mentally.

How do you adjust a dumbed down simplified playbook? Gus has somehow managed to forget the offense that made him a household name. The same guy that made Chris frickin Todd shine can't design an offense for a guy with legit talent.

This is Gus at this point, someone needs to get him the playbook back from 2009. I miss the buck sweeps.

It's apparent that he is set on his game plan going in and when his game plan doesn't work he has no idea what to do other than keep running the same plays hoping something eventually works.

We just need to simplify things.

Put Cox in wildcat.
Pirouettes and fakes, then throw deep.

Profit.

Gus didn't want anybody that would challenge him.

Gus needs to send a racist note to himself to distract the press from fact that his coaching sucks.

His coaching ACTUALLY doesn't SUCK when he is SANE. You can tell by his looks that he has lost his marbles.

When tuberville was here, he would always have a game where the team seemed unprepared. But also, we would always have a game on the road that we came in supremely prepared for and knocked off somebody. I always felt like we had a chance. With Gus I don't feel like we have a chance against a comparably talented team with a good coaching staff. We could play Clemson in 10 times and we'd lose 10 times because Gus cannot compete against an astute coaching staff.

I counted ten games off the top of my head since Gus got here where we've rushed out to a 1Q lead then either blew/failed to score again, and lost.

I don't even recognize his offense anymore. He doesn't even run the Gus offense. No buck sweeps, power stuff, very few reverses. Gus is a HUNH wing-T guy who throws it deep here and there. Some call it the "power spread." That's his identity and he has gotten away from it almost completely. I don't get it.

And why has he stopped recruiting DT QB's? That's always been his bread and butter, at least in the SEC. The Wing-T is much better with a Cam or Nick back there.

Clemson's Chad Morris was a Gus disciple who understood the need for a DT QB. Their new OC runs pretty much the same offense. Notice how Clemson replaces Boyd with Watson and replaced Watson with this new guy. All of them can run.

Because paranoid Gus has been over thinking for 3 years, he's his own worst enemy.

As good as 2013 was, if we don't have a hail mary to get us a win against UGA, we're talking about how that was one of the worst collapses in our football history

you definitely are on to something
