Defense is improved. Secondary especially. 2 picks and it should've been more. Monty Adams is a beast.

Looks like I was wrong about Grant. He looked very good. 146 yards

Marshall is no Cam but much better than anything we had last year.

Wide Receivers are vastly improved in blocking. Still need a consistent deep threat. Ricardo Louis seemed to struggle.

Didn't notice the OLine which is a good thing.

Overall looks like a 6-7 win team like we originally thought. Lots a room for improvement but not the 3 win team we saw last year.

Am I the only one that thinks Nick should start next week?

Marshall needs to start again. Don't give up after a rocky first game.

O-line played great

Marshall is a average sec qb

GRANT is a beast and CAP good

Prosch is overrated

WRs good blockers but shitty receivers

Bray looks a little better

Dline sucks except Monty and Lawson looked decent in limited plays

Holland blows

Frost is not any better

Secondary is our best defensive unit

Whitehead sucks

Therezie is a beast

Mincy can't catch

We should start 2-1 or 3-0

Oh yeah. I forgot rush defense looked like garbage but that be because of how much they throw.

I think the D had 3 picks.

D improved but not by much. The dude threw for over 300 yards. They gashed us sometimes in the middle. We still need a big turnaround on D.

We need to pass more but we were running at will in that game so that's fine.

Marshall was not accurate, he needs work.

Mason needs to remember to hold on to the ball in crucial parts of the game.

Marshall was serviceable, can vastly improve. A few of his WRs catch the damn ball and he puts a little more air under a few deep shots and we don't get that holding call on his TD run and his stat line would've looked damn good for a first time starter. He threw the ball well on the run, was only sacked once I believe, and he didn't turn the ball over. These things are all soooo much better then what we've experienced the past 2 seasons.

Ok 3 picks and should've been more. I just got back from the game and haven't looked at all the stats.

Was impressed with Adams, Grant and Thereze.
Other than those...meh. Maybe we will show improvement throughout the year.

Well we held them to 3 points the second half and only 80 yards passing...good D adjustments at the half. That is a plus. Monte is a beast!

-RBs are good - all three
-Special teams is solid probably still our best unit
-It was pretty clear we need some play makers, we saw a couple bright stars for our future
-Marshall is better than what we had last year and will be serviceable QB this year.
-WR corp is still a big disappointment for us
-we're not winning the west this year but will go to bowl
-we won or tied each quarter this game which is a good sign

-D about what I thought. Didn't see many missed tackles?
-Run game looked great
-Passing would be better without some key drops. Marshall needs to work on his touch,

I thought we'd give up 400 passing but less than we did on the ground. I thought Marshall would at least have more rushing yards.

The tackling seemed vastly improved. We actually wrapped up.

You need to look at each half separately. WSU was 11/29 for 80 yds ans 2 Int's in the 2nd half. I'd say thats very good defense.

We didn't get to run the Hurry Up enough to see how good we were but was impressed with Running game, aside from the fumble.

Louis needs to improve or we need to find another guy. He missed on several big opportunities.

The 3 INTs was good to see but we should have had 6 if Mincy had have got them and we still had too many guys left wide open. It may have been the zone coverage and not the players.

Adams might end up being the star of last years class.

My impression is that we won the first game of the season. Whew
We struggled in the front 6 as I expected and the WR's were inconsistent as I expected.
Monty is going to be a stud
O Line
Therezie
Grant
ST's looks solid
Overall the D solidified in the 2nd half and I attribute that to Adams.
I expected more from Marshall, but will give him a pass due to first game.

Going forward we need a stouter D and our passing game needs to get at least 175-225 yds to really make us dangerous. If we can't pass again this year, it will be easy for teams to crowd the box.

Well, except for Jake Holland...

He had two missed tackles on the first drive alone, then another on the very next drive. I tried to not even look at him for the rest of the game.

We need much better pressure on the qb from DL and LB's. for the most part, the secondary did good against quick passes. It was the long routes that got us. DL needs to step up. More Monty and Bradley please.
