How about Kyle Whittingham?

Since post TAMU last year, Ive been hoping each week to see our team turn it around. There was a glimpse of it in the Iron Bowl, but it all quickly faded when Gus began his conservative play calling.

When you say the team just isn't good, what exactly is that referring to? Talent? Youth? Execution? Coaching? By saying the team isn't good when they should be, it only gives more support to try a new direction.

all of the above

my primary point being is once the team is lost, you have to make a change. it doesnt matter who you get, you cant keep the same guy.

but when youre just bad, you need a better option. Not just another gamble

The defense is soft but Muschamp will change that in the coming weeks and next year will be way better. The offense is clunky and the line isn't playing well. I think we'll struggle on and off this year, but I have faith that Gus can create a good offense again. I'm just not that worried about it. The coaching pieces are in place.

We suck... we know we suck... But for the love of Christ, let's give malzahn a chance to correct it. Dude won a conference championship less than two years ago

I just dont think Gus knows how to sustain success; he's won often and quickly at all of his stops. He will learn. He isn't stupid.

at Kyle Whittingham... if you were a Ute, you would've wanted him fired 8 years ago...

Please go find a clue

No one is saying talent or youth is a hindrance to this team. We have talented players and are starting a minimal amount of freshman.

He is, but I guess this is the essence of our disagreements. I have seen no reason to believe he'll be successful from here forward.

I am. we dont have talent depth. we are in the SEC. we need more than our starting 11 to be 4+ stars.

I'm sure you loved his 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Yeah, let's try to hire a guy who hasn't set foot out of Utah since 94. I'm sure he'll crush recruiting in the south.

8 years ago, so 2007. In 2007, the Utes went 9-4 including a blow out win against no. 9 UCLA. I would love to see our team blowout a top ten opponent.

What don't I have a clue about?

Need more defense players, need them not to be injured, defense will be fine. Disappointed in offense BUT I think Gus was trying to nurse JJ hoping he'd turn it on. He didn't. Now he's trying to bring up White, so there isn't much more to work with.

But that's the best excuse I can give for Gus. In game melt mode I say fire him.

Some of y'all don't deserve the good years, tbh. I understand being critical of the coaches, and I'm right there with you. But to call for firing Gus is just downright stupid thinking at this point.

In the mountain freaking west.

Whittingham (who I'm pretty sure is a Mormon) was very average threw his first three years a Utah.... and he inherited a great situation from urban.

Meanwhile you wanna fire Gus after three years... and he's won a title

It's fricking stupid... KW would be a terrible fit here imo
