Who was the last UCONN HC to go on to bigger and better things?

What makes you think that's proof that it can't be done?

I'd say doubling your salary would mean a pretty good bit.

Edsall went onto Maryland

It's a better job in a top conference. Now he failed miserably, but he made the leap from UConn.

They only started their FBS program a decade ago. UCF was a shite job before they went FBS in 96 too. Now UCF is a premier stepping stone

UConn

-Better Conference/Opponents
-Flagship athletic program in New England
-Better institutional support
-Better athletic facilities
-Better bowls for good seasons
-Bigger fan base/Publicity reach
-Lower expectations

Schools that are shelling out the money for a HC will do the same for the rest of the program

-Better assistant pay
-Better facilities
-More money for recruitment activities

That shite is a big deal in building a program. No recruit or coach wants to lift cement buckets for weights

Most on this board wanted Lashlee gone, yet now that we have Stidham, most want him to stay

This sounds like 4 different inputs and all of them are putting out an error code

Don't see him making that move. It's a dead end job in a cold northern state.

dead end my arse. a year or 2 up there positions him perfectly to be hired by AU when Gus is eventually fired. Jay Jacobs aint going anywhere.

I'd find it hard to believe that a life longer southerner would make a career move to New England. Talk about a fricking culture shock.....
