I dont think Slade is locked in.

Robinson, Dismukes, Prosch, Mason, Louis and Coates are locked in on offense.

Foord, Egua, Whitaker, Davis, Mincy, Whitehead, Frost, should be locked in as starters.

to be perfectly honest it's hard as hell for me to judge. You guys would probably be better at evaluating this list. I saw so little of last season all I can go by is the spring game and comments from the coaching staff.

I'm all ears..... I mean eyes.

Louis, Coates, and Eguae weren't even starters coming out of spring. Ricardo and Coates are too inconsistent apparently, and Eguae will be a role player. I also don't see Whitaker starting, I think it will be Wright and Blackson

I've never considered him a lock to start and with the news from summer starting to trickle out I'm getting the feeling he is a bit of a long shot. I'll still hope he earns it until a decision is made but tbh I would be a little surprised if he did.

Good Job!

After everything this team went through during the summer (weight room, 7 on 7 drills 3 times a week, lots and lots of watching film, etc.) I think were going to be looking at a considerably different team than what we saw during the spring. Last year doesn't even count, coaching, attitude, everything is different. This depth chart could be turned on its head and for me it's reminder of the talent that's on this team. Not trying to shite sunshine but this depth chart is not chopped liver. It's too easy for me to get wrapped up in the performance of a Fisher, Holland, Frazier or whoever and not see the bigger picture.

I think the 247 analysis of defensive players is pissing in the wind. Just guesswork. Can't wait till they put the pads on then we'll have a better idea of this.

But I sure as hell like to see you guys talking about it.

I would also say Uzomah is a lock for starting TE, barring injury.... he's gonna be a tough matchup for defenses.

I know.

I just wanted to make sure people didn't confuse my hijacking of every Marshall thread with my knighting for Kiehl as a sign that I actually thought he had anything better than at best a 25% chance of starting.

I think Danzey pushes at left guard. He looked real good in the spring game.

Danzey, Kozan and Diamond 2/3 should be guards. Watching Slade pull is like watching my grandma on her walker

Danzey is much more swift when pulling. He had some key blocks in the spring game 1 being the long td run CAP scored on.

Nosa didn't start last year except when Ford was injured for a reason. He is not an SEC starting DE caliber player. Solid rotational role player who can have a good game or two.

RiCardo Louis just needs to figure things out. Everyone says he has the talent and athletic ability. We poor depth but somehow have a log jam at the top at WR though. Jaylon Denson has stepped up big time and from what I am told, people expect him to lock up an outside receiver role. Trovon Reed and Quan Bray both have had solid practices leading up to this point and Quan likely will be the slot receiver. Sammie Coates has been wildly inconsistent but from his freak WR ability, it is expected to be starting as well. Louis just is a little out of place unfortunately and likely won't be a starter

Really can't say anything about QB because I have heard from different people in different directions conflicting things

Bolded are the players I would put money on starting. The rest are speculation

QB-
RB- Platoon Tre Mason/CAPSpeed-

WR1- Coates
WR2- Denson
Slot- Quan

LT-GRob
LG-Diamond
C-Dismukes
RG-Kozan
RT-Young

DE- Ford
DT- Blackson
DT- Wright
DE- Lawson

MLB- Frost
WLB-McKinzy

CB1- Davis
CB2- Mincy

Star - Garrett
Safety-Whitehead
Safety-B King

I want to see Danzey and Diamond but I know Kozan has really good technique/footwork.

I still remember last year when he was in the running to start hearing someone say

"He would be a great offensive linemen if after the play I saw him standing instead of on his bum (at work replace bum with curse)"

Yep, looks good.

The only change I would make would be Holsey for Mincy. I'm one of the few that don't like Mincy.

I think the starters at least for the first few games will be

Denson
Reed
Bray

Coates is one of my favorite players but the coach talk about him has been too inconsistent. I think Louis sneaks his way into the starting lineup after a few games. Taking Reed or Brays spot.

I'm excited to see a line up of Uzomah at TE. Fulse at H-back with Denson, Bray, and Louis out wide. That's a number of weapons
