If this happens it is going to piss DuncanIdaho off.

Been waiting on this thread since Jan. 6!
I want Muschamp but will settle for a Paul Rhoades type that will teach fundamentals.

Was going through some of the 247 guys' post histories.
PMarsh posted this was a possibility a few hours ago. So it's got legs.

I hate getting my hopes up

I'm not getting mine up. If I do and we don't get him then anyone else will be a let down.

This is disappointing and reeks of Chiz kicking Ted Roof to the curb following the 2011 season.

quote:Durkin will not take a demotion to come to AU. He will be a DC still either at UF or somewhere. If Boom is hired T-Rob is a definite possibility and he would be intrerested in coming back to AU even if Boom is not the DC. T-Rob part per P Marsh.
Will he get to bring in his own assistants if hired? Durkin & Robinson would be nice.

I suspect that has more to do with what the schedule for Dec. is. (strength and conditioning, etc., etc.)

quote:You got that right. Not only would we not get Boom and would hace some freak injury. The TT avi jinx is as strong as the Madden cover jinx used to be. I'm not sure if the Madden jinx is still strong. I have not played Madden in a few years.
Whatever you do, don't put Muschamp in your avy

The mistake of the previous two head coaches was firing a coordinator, hiring a coordinator with a completely different scheme, and not allowing that coordinator to bring his own assistants. If Muschamp is brought in, he has to be given the keys to the defense. I would love to have both T-Rob and Durkin on the staff.

quote:I would love Durkin but as I said earlier. He will not take a step down to be a position coach. He will be a DC somewhere in 2015. I hope it's AU if we miss on Boom.

Just read the marcello article on Johnsons family moving that he posted before the SC game. It's sad to see how their profession dictates their families lives.
Caroline, Ellis wife, said on Twitter that they're heading back to Columbia. I feel like they knew it was coming and had talked about it before yesterday.

It's a tough and rewarding profession, and sometimes unforgiving too. My nephew is just beginning his career and just finished his second year as an OC for a Div III school in Oregon. He is looking to make an upward move this next season. I am looking forward to watching his journey, but know it is going to have peaks and valleys.
