Yes, but our backups are all as good as the starters. Once you burn their RS do they continue to wait?

Exactly, which makes it even more important for them to get runs. Will they wait 1-2 years to get that chance to prove what they can do?

I know it is easy to ask questions, but I have asked these of myself and I needed others opinions now...

seriously tho, id hate to lose any of them. We are stacked and have superstar RB recruits committed and I'm very happy about it. It must be talked ab tho when you have this kind of back field.

He may be, but the point remains that going to Bama isn't the smart move if I am Jovon.

I would pick Fl or USC. Maybe even Ole Miss.

Some guys will leave in that situation, but others will find other ways to contribute.

I think CGM will find ways to keep guys engaged.

QB is probably where everybody has many transfers bc typically only one guy plays.

CAP and Grant are both productive playmakers, but if either get injured the PB or RT will have to step up.

San Jose St is a chance to see who is #3 RB. Also La Tech

On that note, Eric Swinney is going to turn out to be one of the best RB's Ole Miss has ever had.

On another related note. Nick Chubb who we were close to landing looked amazing. I really wanted him.

It's a legit concern IMO. If I were GuS I would try to get Barber a few more carries a game and try to incorporate ROC into special teams to keep them satisfied. Jovon will start next year and ROC or Barber isn't going to want to stay #3 unless they're being involved more

No. I think a QB after next season is more likely.

I understand that. Next year you will have three ready to play and wanting touches.

ROC, Jovon and Barber. Pettway may end up at FB, if scuttle we hear is true, so I am not worried about him.

How do you get enough touches to the three big time RB's?
Don't forget Rocky, Gus has said Roc is #2 for the speed back role which means he'll be #1 there in 2015. Jovon will get his carries next year and go pro. If Barber can endure that then he'll get his touches in 2016. KJ could easily be used more at WR and I would not be surprised if that happens.

I like CAP, but I think PB is going to be better.
Barber could cut so quick on his carries. Does anyone know what type of top end speed he has?

CAP and Grant graduate.

Jovon and Barber battle for the every down back, with ROC taking over the speed role. Loser between Jovon and Barber is the spell guy who will still get 10-15 carries a game. Incoming freshmen will either redshirt or be injury depth.

I don't see the logjam that everyone else seems to see

He is a 4.5 guy, but like you say, he can cut so quick and be gone without slowing the least. I think CAP will get his shot at the next level ATP, as long as he combines well. If I'm Gus I get PB all the carries I can. He, CAP and Nick could all eclipse 1,000 vs. padding CAP's #'s.

Robinson JR - Starter/Back Up
Barber RS SO - Starter/Back up
Thomas RS FR - Speed back
Johnson FR - Redshirt

I see Roc and Jovon being similar to Corey & CAP this year.

Barber is the only odd man out and I believe he ends up taking the Jovon/CAP role in 2 years

Roc hasnt seen the field yet. probably wont unless he has mastered blocking. Thats the hardest part to learn. I am waiting to see how great he is.

Personally, I think Roc and Grant are gonna be the guys by end of year.

I think they stick around. Hopefully they see what this offense can do for their careers and want to be a part of it.

He was a fairly low ranked RB out of high school and would only be a rs JR. Plenty of time. I also see him rotating in a good bit as the season progresses assuming CAP doesn't step up

Is Roc more of the O-Mac/Grant role kind of running back or is he someone who could carry the load 25-30 times a game for us?
