I know. I want that in my life yesterday.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the finalized staffing changes.

hat's still not a given even with Garner staying at DL.

Should be a given. Don't see how Garner going or staying changes Fountain's year end evaluation of being terrible

He isn't even a good recruiter

Fountain is a solid recruiter; you can't have everyone on the staff acting as an "ace recruiter" when you take into account ~25 yearly signees and 9 assistant coaches.

Fountain is the lead recruiter on both Richard McBryde and Chandler Cox, and is also involved in the recruitment of Jason Smith and Jalen Harris. He is also the lead recruiter on Martez Ivey (whom he has done a great job with regardless of what happens) and Chidi Valentine-Okeke.

Could we maybe get an update to the OP? That'd be awesome. K thanks.
This was never intended to be a thread where the OP was constantly updated. II was just posting PM's notes from that day. There has not been much to update anyway. Shannon went to UF and We got T-Rob like we knew all along. Garner is staying at DT. All that's left is does Fountain stay. If he does there is 1 spot. If not, there will be 2.

On asked about ST coach Change.

PM stated

I have heard talk, but I have no evidence that's going to happen. I also have no evidence it's not going to happen. There could be a special teams coaching change without a coach losing his job. We will see.

Also, even if Fountain is taken off the field I wouldn't expect that move to be made until after signing day. The defensive moves need to happen right away because Muschamp needs his guys set in place right away, while getting rid of Fountain prior to signing day would only hurt you in recruiting. You probably lose any hope on Ivey if you can Fountain today.

I'll repeat that Travis Trickett is one to watch if Fountain is indeed moved back to an administrative role.

Yup! SF has done an excellent job keeping AU in the thick of that race.

Someone posted on the Coaching Changes board that Durkin has gone to Michigan.

Oh well so much for that.

Legitimate question because I know very little about him, but why are so many AU fans high on Lolley? From what I can tell, his only collegiate coaching experience has been here, and in the years he was here, our defenses were pretty bad (according to his profile, he wasn't an on-field coach from 2004-08 when our defenses were good). Also, when he was fired I thought most were pleased? Why would we want him back?

I agree and would like to know as well. I'm guessing they like to say Lolley

Lolley played a key role in coaching during his "off-field" stint. He is a solid coach, but honestly I want some fresh blood as opposed to rehashing coaches.

From what I've heard he loves the Canadian game. Would be surprised if he came back.
