How was lee a traitor to the constitution? It was completely legal for the states to secede. Peaceful fort transitioning was already occurring before lincoln was all "no"

To be fair, one is a direct quote from a presidential debate - Lincoln was loaded with several political reasons to play the fence on the issue of slavery, as the situation was set for states to secede within the year.

I have zero problem with a private group celebrating Robert E Lee's birthday
I have a huge problem with the PC crowd.
I was not part of the civil war and no one in my family was a part of it. You may have heard of Washington and Lee, a great school they had a big celebration for founders day.
