My MIL asked me about a concert involving a bunch of people I have no interest in seeint, and said this is billed as the first concert in JHS. Anyone going? This will be their first time at the stadium.

Just saw a flag being flown at the stadium with a Jolly Roger and "No Shoes Nation"... whatever the frick that means.

ETA: Kenny Chesney. I see why I didn't know what that was now.

Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, Muscadine Bloodline will all be there. They are billing it as the first concert in JH but The War Eagle Reader has found at least 3 other concerts that have been in JH over the years.

I posted about it on the Music Board.

Tickets range from $35 (nose bleeds) to $215 for the field level. Really expensive tickets if you ask me.

I estimated about 70,000 seats available. They closed off about a third of the stadium for the stage but opened up seats on the ground.

Brad Paisley came to Auburn for free and drew 5000-7500. Chesney's expecting ten times that many?

I know a lot of people traveling in for this one. I'm surprise they are expecting that many but this is a big concert

I have heard a lot about the event up this way over the past week. I have a few friends who are coming.

Call me when someone good comes and I will make the 2.5 hour drive.

I will be up there Saturday tailgating for it. I am most excited about seeing Old Dominion, they are really good and write their own stuff. Sam Hunt is solid but I have heard from a few people that he is a dickhole too. Miranda is looking pretty good these days and Chesney is what he is.

All in all, it is a bunch of us that went to college together getting together and seeing the concert.

Just dropped by to visit and noticed a discussion about the concert. Heard about it but knew nothing about the content. Did a search on some of the names

When I was at Auburn some of the concerts I attended was Santana,..... James Taylor, Elton John plus we made a few trips over to Atlanta. Caught Jethro Tull. If I remember correctly, was after the release of Living IN THE PAST. Saw him just a few years back. Wow!

Times have changed... Getting old but this shite really sucks.

going to an Ian Anderson concert and I still say Jethro Tull

Cheney puts on a hell of a show. I've been lucky enough to be backstage for 3 of his shows. My cousin knows the stage manager so he gets me back there but it's always a good time. He is an entertainer for sure.
