Saw where UConn threw the ball 41 times to 8 different receivers with two different QBs. Did AU throw the ball 41 times in four games last year? CGM's influence doesn't seem to follow RL to UConn.

I get it is UConn and it was against Holy Cross, but found it interesting that 41 pass plays were dialed up by RL.

Agree it is not JS. Posted to show that it is Coach Bubblegum that is the root of the problem.

Posted in other thread , but was told that Steele had to separate Gus and Chip in the locker room at some point. No inside intel, but was the same guy who told me about Pettway's boot/foot 5 days before Clemson which turned out accurate. Seems like Steele is keeping this team together

If Chip confronted Gus in the locker room in front of players/coaches/outside observers, Chip should be fired. Doesn't matter if Gus was wrong, the OC isn't captain of the ship

The chances of this story being real though? 0-5%

Gus Malzahn has a very punchable face. I'm disappointed this confrontation was broken up.

Though, does Gus know what ship he is on?

I can see the two disagreeing and Gus taking it wrong and blowing up. He is under a lot of pressure.

I can also see lindsey realizing that his little
Bit of coaching cred could take a massive hit because of things gus is doing behind the scenes.

He really does. At least Chizik was likable. Malzahns sideline antics when he's mad at a player are so obnoxious.

Well Chizik doesn't have a punchable face because he has no teeth to punch out

gene chizik just might be,along with mark richt, the nicest, and finest man to ever coach in the SEC. not a good HC, but a wonderful person. i still appreciate chizik for more than just the NC. he did things that few know about

Depends on how it was handled. Obviously, it appears not to have happened during a time when media was in the room since this is the first we're hearing of it. The second important factor is how the disagreement started. If Chip was calm, constructive, and quiet then Gus escalated it, I'd side with Chip. A HC SHOULD be able to handle calm and constructive discussions, especially from an OC when the offense is stalling hard. You can add another "especially" because Chip is falling on his sword publicly when Chip claims to have called the plays all game. To me, the fact Chip said that publicly suggests he probably handled himself correctly in private, and Gus threw a bitch-fit.
