This kid was all drama even before he got here - not surprised his "personal life is complicated." Funny how not being able to hack it in this league can make your life complicated.

Insert the :well, bye: gif and let's get on with the season.

I would have taken them living up to half the hype.

I think he'll be heading to South Florida, right in Tampa.

Byron Cowart "said he wants to quit" and pursue other opportunities. Strong word there.

From Gus's presser going on right now

Also

"Nick Coe has ability to move inside. Truesdell coming in. Andrew Williams already in mix."

Defensive line depth still good.

Truesdell has looked good in garbage time. Has a chance to be a big time run stuffer

So does Marlon Davidson, which scares the shite out of me. At this rate we will have only DTs and no DEs

For pass rushers,
We need to start Dee Fording this shite. Bring in 6'2+ 190lb linebackers and feeding them a healthy diet of steroids and PEDs until they are 250+ DEs

We did it with Dansby, Antonio Coleman too

Marcello spoke with Cowart. Sounds like his main two reasons for leaving are health issues with his mom and playing time. Said he would still pick AU over UF again. Holds no ill will to staff. Admitted Muschamp leaving is when things turned for him and he felt abandoned. Talked about transferring twice with coaches over summer

I'm sure that sucks when your favorite coach leaves but come on dude. You've got all world talent and you're going to let that derail you?

Hate it didn't work out here but hopefully he'll do well somewhere else so long as it's not against Auburn.

Does he really have such great talent though? I've never even seen glimpses that he could be an all SEC DL. He's too passive to play against the run. He's not quick enough to rush the passer. Where is this all world talent we heard so much about?

Maybe not all world talent but all world size and athleticism. I mean you don't get to be a top 3 recruit in the nation without having a lot going for you.

This story has made ESPN.com's front page.

So, in two days, viewers of ESPN.com first saw the we kicked Sean White off the team after an arrest, and now our former #1 recruit is transferring. Neither headline indicates impending trouble, but it may sway people's perception of our program.

Marcello posted an article with more info. Main takeaway is Cowart didn't like how few snaps he played against bigger teams (like the Clemson game) and doesn't think he will ever get the chance. Seems to genuinely like the coaching staff and Auburn but seems to think he wasn't getting the PT he earned

Maybe. But it is hard to argue against the starting DL.

ESPN is on the internet now? Dang, they think of everything.

Cowart and White are both two players I could totally see not making through this year. This doesn't indicate that the team is imploding. It could, but this isn't the sky falling yet.

He also frequently referred to his mom being very sick, having surgery and going to the doctor. He is moving back home for the semester

I know his mom was a huge part of his recrutimentprocess.

Hell I figured he would have already transferred. He was never going to pan out after last year.
