The shiny helmets one game a year when the recruits are in. It is the trooper taylor of uniforms without the shitty coaching. And if players commit because of it, we got them locked in because they aren't going anywhere

They should sell the 1892 beanie in the book store as an old fashioned football helmet, just for the wtfs. People probably shite talked the guys who wore those for not being manly enough, and nowadays they run around encased in 18 million layers of armor.

The story I've always heard was that the players complained the orange facemasks were too distracting. They all said it looked like a hazy orange blob right in the middle of their line of sight.

I'm strangely drawn to the 1903 'gimp outfit' look...or possibly the 1892 'mental patient' style. If we could just make the sleeves really long and tie them together in the back....

I guess I'm the only one that's not adamantly opposed to these. I'm not for something this drastic mind you I just think the helmet with out the AU in the middle would be cool if we had a alternate game and went the war eagle route.
