ADT when he got to Auburn was a skinny uncoordinated shot blocker. He looks like an average SEC center now more like Mamadou in the late 90s.

Next you're going to tell me Chubb was a good player.

Pretty much this. What do you expect some of these coaches to say? Especially Calipari, why would he ever say Barbee is a bad coach?

Yeah, I'm sure these coaches sticking up for Barbee just HATE beating him all the time.

Probably gets old for them amiright?

The program is going in the right direction

If the program was going in the right direction, shouldn't we win the occasional road game against decent SEC competition?

We lose against every decent team that comes to Auburn Arena. And we beat the really bad ones. And then we pretty much lose exclusively on the road.

This is progress?

Can't always judge it be win-loss record. This team is better than their record and they are young. Most want Barbee fired because they think we can get Pearl. If Barbee is let go, we'll get another mid major coach and have the same discussion 4 years from. Looking for instant success and NIT or NCAA tournament berth while building a program basically from scratch is a little too optimistic. Programs like Kentucky should have a quick lease on a coach because of their tradition. Auburn doesn't have a basketball tradition. Barbee is trying to build it. He's finally got al the players to buy in to his program. Other coaches see it. None of those coaches were praise Barbee last year or years before that.

There are a whole lot of assumptions in that post.

Young? No not really. Three seniors and a junior in the starting line up. That isn't young.

We do not have a lot of soph or juniors though. This is another issue we can attribute to Barbee.

The other coaches see somebody they don't have to worry about on and off the court. Nothing more.
