Fortunately I am past that stage. I feel for the ones who will be pulling a late one tonight.

But I am enjoying watching a neighbor 2 doors down putting up a trampoline with safety net.

This was my night from Hell about 10 years ago. I put one together in the back yard, in the dark, in the rain, in the cold. Alone.

I will never forget that night.

Its the only good thing about todays video game kids. Doesn't take long to put some headphones and video games out under the tree.

This will probably be my last year as santa. My boys are too old. Its been a great ride though

What year? Sounds like the night I put up my sons swingset except I had been to a Christmas party prior to installation. That damn thing never met OSHA standards.

My oldest is 18 now. He was about 7 or 8. We just got rid of it last year. Damn thing was a pain in the arse when they stopped using it.

I never got started on it that night until around midnight. Being out there trying to put those big pieces together alone then put that damn cage together was quite frustrating. It is just one of those things I will never forget.

We also got him one of those drum set deals for his playstation one year. Had the drums, guitar and mic. Got it all put together and the damn things didnt work. One of the bluetooth receivers was bad. Took two weeks to get a new one. My son was disappointed. it was not easy seeing him like that. Not getting to play with them for two weeks after christmas sucked.

I went all over th world looking for that damn thing and couldn't get one. I was not a happy dad..

Had some memorable Christmas nights. Had a few id like to forget as well
