We ALL had huge expectations going into this season. Three games later we are all looking at the surface of the program and wondering aloud, "What is going on with all of these moral issues and transfers and underperforming offense plays?" Well, our limited answers come from final scores and concentrated media attention on only what is bad. A deeper look reveals that our Tigers have only slightly dropped in the national polls. Over a hundred players are unified and representing Auburn well. Our coaches are among the best in the country. Chet Williams has proven himself over the years as being a team Chaplin that loves the players and makes a difference in their lives. Our weakness as fans is that we will always view games with hindsight. Our players and coaches are working toward future success. How will we all feel when the master plan comes together and we begin to win? Auburn is still alive!

?

I had to grovel and go through the secret Auburn ritual on the help board to be able to post here. And that took more than one post.

I had us at 8-4. I knew Gus was too stubborn to change.

I actually don't care much at all about this.

underperforming offense plays
But this shite pisses me off.

That is a shallow look, not a deeper look. A deeper look reveals Gus recruited QBs to run a more pass oriented spread, hired an offensive cordinator to do the same, and isn't letting them fully do it.

Not even top 3 in the state.

I'll be happy and owe Gus an apology. I'll be sure to say sorry as we ski the slopes of Hades.

I had us going 9-3 with losses to Clemson, LSU and Bama. What is happening is Gus is done, he did not adapt to the changes in offenses. He actually tried to, but it did not work. This made him more frustrated. I hope I am wrong and that we discover an offense that can score against a decent defense. I am not holding my breath.
