'd like to clarify that if this guy was a douche about it it's ok but people take it too seriously if all they did was say roll tide
Like I pointed out, it sounded like the person said Roll Tide as a challenge to him being an Auburn fan. I don't care when people say Roll Tide to me as long a it is in good rivalry spirit. When they say Roll Tide when they recognize I am an AU fan in a douche way it pisses me off.
I do not say War Eagle to people just because they are alabama fans. I don't give a shite about them. My GF on the other hand She is straight Barn

This thread reminded me of a story this last IB
I don't talk shite to other fans unless they start so this was rare
Was walking into Stadium, this Bama guy picked up a rag/towel of some sort from the ground. .. Then started yelling Hey Aubs who dropped their rag?
Then as I'm walking by him he shoves the rag in my face and yells Hey war eagles here is your towel
Without even thinking I tell him to keep it so he can wipe his tears after the game is over
I immediately was yelled at by my wife for being rude then I apologized to the bammer
I still feel bad for losing my cool.

No there aren't anymore, and my ex brother in law was a waiter in Birmingham. He averaged $300 a night in tips, so they're not hurting for cash.

So do you tip the guy that changes your oil making minimum wage or like I was delivering furniture? It's a double standard.

Umm pretty much every restaurant/bar does this.

So, ITT:
bb shortchanged a server
took a picture of his check
posts it with third-person reference on TD
gets upset when people don't rah-rah with him
spends the entire thread flaming

Everyone needs to take this shite serious. Interwebz is always serious bidness.

I think it's a damn disgrace that beatbammer didn't burn the guys house down.

I thought it was funny. I would have left the remainder of the tip value in 1's to get to the amount I thought the server deserved.

I'm the same way, that is why I asked about the rest of the story near the beginning of the thread.
And for the poster who keeps referring to "above-it-all fans", that is garbage. I just don't sweat the small stuff like someone telling me Roll Tide casually. On top of that, i am one of the first people who will stiff a waiter for shite service and i have gone so far as to tell them why I stiffed them. I don't feel obligated to tip anyone a dime, their job is customer service and if they suck at it then they should change jobs.
but if the service was good and at the end the guy opened his mouth a spewed a little Roll Tide and that was enough to give a shite tip then I disagree with it.

Auburn fan leaves the Bama server a well deserved tip.
This is stupid no matter what school you are a fan of. I've had customers say Roll Tide to me and I DGAF and I've also been out to eat and had it the other way around. I've also had idiot AU fans want to fight me and the manager because the tv was temporarily switched to the bammer game while the AU game was at the half. Personally I would have left him 20 bucks, because A) I like having the last word and B)it would ensure that all future visits to said establishment would be "Roll Tide" free.

I don't take no lip from no bartender neither.

I never hear an Auburn fan say "War Eagle" to some random stranger wearing gump gear, but it's a freaking everyday occurrence the other way around. Wonder why this is?
I was at the zoo this weekend with my daughter. I had an AU ballcap on and t-shirt with a vintage AU logo. She wanted to ride the camel, so as we got in line, the camel wrangler asked me if I new that I was wearing profanity. I laughed it off, but as she stepped up, he muttered "Saban Nation". AU people don't do this shite.

I'd probably would have left a couple of singles under the receipt. Pretty clever assuming it's a bama fan that remembers the actual score, which certainly isn't a given

I don't get all the hate for short changing a tip a couple dollars..at least he gave him one. I think it was pretty damn funny. I know "Roll Tide" is the last thing I want to hear especially after I eat

Being a cheapskate isn't funny, no matter who you pull for. There are other ways to have the last word. Don't be a dick about it. Unless the server was just an obnoxious overbearing idiot who gave you poor service outside the fact of whether or not he said something, who cares.
