Jordan Lee who won the College championship while at Auburn just won the Bassmasters Classic on Lake Conroe in Texas. He is 25 years old. The Classic has a 500K 1st place prize but is said to be worth over 1 million in total

2nd place also went to a Auburn guy, Steve Kennedy of Auburn Alabama.

Great showing and very happy for Jordan...

Gonna pull out my Auburn Bass Fishing t-shirt!

P.S. I now believe that he is out of your price range for a paid endorsement.

Dude sacked the today. Caught the biggest bag of the tournament on championship Sunday... 27 pounds.

For those who are reading this and are not sure what it is, the Bassmaster Classic is the Superbowl of Bass fishing.

Its pretty much the biggest accomplishment in professional bass tournament fishing

How much does he get?

Edit: nevermind. I'm an idiot who didn't read. Pretty good haul

I have one of those. I stopped wearing it in public because people would always ask me if I was on the team

Damn, didn't even know it was on. Congrats to Jordan and Steve.

At one time, Steve had the largest total weight ever caught on the B.A.S.S. tour for a Tournament. He slayed them in Cali. that weekend.

I have won a few big tournaments in my time but unfortunately, they wont let me fishing in the Classic. You kinda have to qualify. Only 50 people in the world fish it every year

Plus, I am not really a tournament fisherman anymore.

According to Lauren Shute at SEC Country, what everybody doesn't realize is that Jordan Lee set a new world record bigly:

On Sunday, the Alabama native caught a bass so big (it weighed 27 pounds, 4 ounces to be exact) he became the champion of the 2017 Bassmaster Classic.

We fish against the Auburn kids fairly regular. Most of them are very good. They are way ahead of me when I was their age. A lot more information out there and a lot more avenues to fish.

People don't understand, that's like showing up for the club match-play tournament, and expecting a Masters invite if you win!

He will get a good bit of sponsorship $, for rods, reels, and baits.

AU has been solid in the college bass fishing world since it began.

They all want to be Lanier when they grow up!

Not being a smart arse. Because if you can pay the bills by fishing, you have found utopia. I admire Lanier, and all his cohorts!

I wish people would pay me to take them to play golf...(sad nana)

Takes a different breed to fish competitively at a high level. I wanted to do it when I was younger, then realized what all it entailed... and discovered saltwater fishing.

Watching KVD snatch a jerkbait for three days was torture. Had to put my wrist brace on.
