How in the world is he that slow? I know he isn't a burner, but damn.

I was surprised how many DB's ran in the 4.6 - 4.7 range today. There were some strong times, but it seemed like they were slower overall this year.

Whitehead:

12th best 40 (4.59)
5th best vertical (37")
2nd best broad jump (10'8")
4th best 3-cone (6.95)
5th best short-shuttle (4.11)
8th best bench press (15 reps)

Good day for him.

You're referring to WalterFootball.com right?

I don't think that site has anything to do with Walter Camp, though it is a good mock draft site worth following.

Looks right.

I think Reese is 3rd-4th and Gabe is 4th-5th

Bob McGinn posted his yearly article where he reveals some NFL scout/executive blurbs about draft prospects. He had the following about Sammie:

quote:

Sammie Coates*, WR, Auburn: 6-1, 212. Fourth-year junior. "Once he runs fast they're all going to drool over him," one scout said of his fellow personnel men. "I'm not on board. He's a large, explosive, stiff, inconsistent guy with big hands. I wouldn't touch him, but I think he goes late second (round)." Finished with 82 receptions for 1,757 yards (21.8) and 13 TDs. Labored on a bad knee in 2014. Ran 4.43.

The Denver Broncos are looking into revamping their offensive line and are in need of a center. I really do hope they go after Reese Dismukes because he would fit well in a zone blocking scheme.

Gabe Wright needs to go to a defense that focuses on defensive line penetration, IMO. His best attribute is athleticism inside and causing havoc inside.

Sammie Coates, I want to see him go to a team that likes the vertical threat. Detroit? Philly? Cleveland? Indy?

I think Gave Wright's "decline" from a promising rookie year has to do with the change in scheme. He is solid when asked to penetrate and disappear s when asked to do other things.
