December 15, 1982: Paul Bryant announces retirement
June 11, 1990: Gene Stallings hired
November 25, 1992: Pat Dye Resigns
January 1, 1993: Gene Stallings wins National Championship. Auburn undefeated season follows (this would be repeated in 2009-10)
November 23, 1996: Stallings announces resignation
October 2nd, 1998: Tommy Tuberville hired
January 3, 2007: Nick Saban Hired
December 3, 2008: Tuberville resigns
November 29, 2022: Hugh Freeze hired
January 10, 2024: Nick Saban retires
Incredibly interesting how this goes back and forth through history.
