I am officially off of the Bus as of last week. I don't care if he takes us to The Ship.....he has lost me forever. The ineptness has driven me over the edge.

[quote]You can not win at this level not controlling the line of scrimmage. Our OL plays below average. There is nothing fancy about it. Nothing to do with coaching on most plays. They just get beat. [/quote
A lot of that has to do with Gus's scheme. Our Oline is loaded with talent 3 NFLs at least. Remember when Tony Franklin came here and made all the Olinemen lose like 30 pounds each so they could block in his scheme? Same thing with Gus just different blocking schemes. If our Oline lined up and ran plays like Bama LSU Moo State we would bulldoze people. Also Herb Hand has historically been a below average coach but he's a "yes man" so we hired him.

Is Kozan missed that much? I mean this is the same OL as last year and they were killing folks for a good chunk of the year.
I have a hard time seeing us get to that level in 2017 based on what we've seen so far.

CL has brought in a new blocking scheme. Either the OL is struggling with it or the scheme just plain sucks.

Either way, this is the worst OL play I've seen since 2008. Just atrocious.

I'd say Saban and Kirby Smart and several other SEC coaches are lobbying hard for Gus to keep his job.
Chris Petersen of Washington personally calling Auburn's President in order for Gus to coach in next September's kickoff classic.

If Gus coaches and recruits for 5 years then this is 100% his team and he owns all the frick ups. Unless this gets better it is a 7 win season and time for a change. I was a Gus fan until today and hate coaching changes, but it's time.
