I've just moved on to the acceptance stage of my grief. I remembered that we're still in the National Championship, I only have one final left, and Christmas is 12 days away. Made a little of the pain go away.

I had a friend who sent out a mass email at 5:30 CST and the subject read

quote:

I bet you thought this was a national championship ticket

People wanted to kill him since they got an email right at the time on their phones.

Anybody sending Email of any sort at 5:30 a.m. should be shot on principle alone.

I'm assuming that it was 5:30 PM as that's when the students were told they might be notified.

I think the 1500 is after the band and Tiger hosts and other designated personnel were accounted for. The band and Tiger hosts et. al. are students too.

Not sure. Would be interesting to find out. I still don't understand why the bowls don't give slightly larger allocations. The Rose Bowl gave out thousands of tickets to Pasadena residents. Don't see why they don't give the schools more from that pile for the national championship

On that note though, if we got an extra 5k tickets, I doubt they would be given to students

FSU giving only a 1,000 to students.

Approximately 8,000 FSU tickets along the west sideline will be sold for $385 and another 11,000 in the north end zone will be sold at $325. Just 1,000 student tickets were sold at $215 each, according to Wilson.

Wow frick FSU. While it makes me feel better because A) I am not a FSU student and B) I am not getting fricked that hard

I still think there should be both a bigger allocation of tickets and more student tickets.

Looks like they're now threatening to take your opportunity to buy football tickets next year if you sell your National Championship ticket.

I wouldn't just give slightly larger allocations, I'd give a lot more tickets. The Stadium in Glendale set a record attendance of 78,000 in 2011 for the Natty. The Rose Bowl seats 92,000. Couldn't they give each school 7,000 more with half of those going to students? I'm sick of the game being all about money instead of doing the right thing. Students are the ones who make the games exciting for their schools.
