unless you're Jabrill Peppers, I think the days of playing both ways are almost over. He is asked to use so much energy at his safety spot, I could only see him getting touches on offense in a severe emergency

If things ever got bad enough that Ford would need to play RB again just let him focus on that and start Roberts or Ruffin in his place. Drop off would be minimal.

There are like 4 of you obsessed with this idea. Rudy Ford has played safety for 4 years at Auburn, yet some of you see huh as a running back.

What makes you think Rudy even knows the offense?

He played running back part time as a freshman.

He needs to be ready for an emergency situation.

Caution: AL.com link

I'll admit I went to AL.com looking for some optimistic news on KJ and found it. Still pure coach speak from CRL, but it has to be a good sign if he was able to return to practice. I would take 10 carries from KJ this week just spell Pettway some.

If he really is practicing already on a Monday, definitely a good sign

Truitt has a real burst. I can see him busting some 30yd runs when he spells KP

The fact that CRL said he was at practice probably means he was literally just at practice.

extremely underrated as a running back. Reminds me of a shiftier Robert Lester

I just don't like Truitt as a RB. At least not in the way we use him.

You mean Brad Lester?

Lester was a bad man for his size. Like a poor man's Caddy Williams. I'm undecided about Truitt at RB, but I like the move. Dude is fast, use him

i didnt either at first...but after watching his burst and determination with the ball in his hands, i think he could be a real asset to us down the stretch.

It should never happen or even be talked about. Don't frick with the defense right now to try and fix that bandaged up offense.

Leave Rudy where he is. We have enough backs

Injured Auburn running back Kerryon Johnson returned to practice, though his status for Saturday's game against No. 17 Arkansas is yet to be determined.

Offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said Johnson, who hurt his right ankle early during the first quarter against Mississippi State, was "out there" running and catching during Sunday night's practice.

ETA: Mid-season Social Media MVP

https://www.seccountry.com

Sometimes college football and social media go together really well, like peanut butter and jelly.

It’s been a great way to familiarize with this year’s Auburn team. Players have made fun of their teammates, shared funny stories and insightful opinions, giphs — it’s been entertaining to say the least.

War Eagle Wakeups have included a lot of tweets and commentary from Kerryon Johnson. He’s the kind of player who many Auburn students and fans can see themselves being friends with (see below):

Tbh I just want to be friends with Kerryon Johnson

— Kerryon Johnson (@AyeyoKEJO) October 17, 2016

Before the Tigers start the second half of SEC play, SEC Country would like to award Johnson a mid-season Twitter MVP.

Johnson interacts with fans and makes you laugh out loud with his tweets. He’s also pretty honest, allowing fans social media to see a side of the sophomore they don’t see on the field. People notice (see below):

@AyeyoKEJO is like the happiest dude on twitter, but I've never seen that dude smile once the game starts. Straight game face.

— Chris (@ccallrun) October 17, 2016

And once again, Johnson is honest, and it’s funny.

Can't be too happy about 300 pound men hitting you hahaha but really I get in a different mode https://t.co/OZTlaSXUID
