Didnt they say during the National Championship that Saban had like 10 more coaches than anyone in college football?

If they said it after the first quarter i doubt anyone heard it.

Earlier this spring, the NCAA removed rules limiting texting and sending direct messages on Twitter, Facebook and other electronic communications to prospects. In addition, the new rules allow support staff members -- Stevenson, Lindsey and their counterparts -- to actively recruit prospects instead of leaving that chore solely in the hands of on-field coaches.

Don't be surprised if more high school coaches join the college recruiting ranks. The pay will probably be better -- even though Lindsey already made six figures as Spain Park's head coach -- and the prestige is definitely better.

Fun fact: Scott Fountain was making $250K in his support-staff role on Chizik's staff.

Is it me or does that seem really high for that position? I'm not sure what the avg is for that job, but I feel like that was as much, or more than Boulware was making.

Its not just you. Thats just frickin ridiculous. Pisses me off. How hard can that job be? Way overpaid IMO.

And it was as much as Boulware was making.

That is ridiculous. The one coach I wished Coach Malzahn kept was Coach Bouleware. Our special teams were the highlight this last season :(

Do any of you guys know what Fountain did for the program?... we paid gotdamn trooper taylor a half million to coach like shite the last 24 months...

Was he making too much?.... all coaches make too much. It's this kinda mentality that gives a coach a reputation that might not actually fit his coaching abilities (remember after 2009 how everybody thought Bouleware was a terrible coach, based in large part b/c he came from ISU with Chizik).

I'm with you man. These frickers get paid way too much. Assistant coaches get paid more than some corp execs, and it's hard to get there. Luck does play a part in a lot of this though. Football is the moneymaker tho. The only salaries agree with would be the HC.

Lots of players didn't like Boulware, he babied certain players & showed favoritism towards the darker skinned players.

Trooper was our best position coach. Remember the WR corp before he got here? Who was the leading WR, a walk-on.
