Wayne Hall was a Bama grad too.

Never seen Auburn defenses better than those 1987-88 squads Wayne Hall coordinated.

So is JGT hinting that we may try to hire St. Paul's head coach?

Bama added Stevenson yesterday so right now it seems there is a firesell for HS coaches. I wonder if this is the role he wanted Rush Propst and that SC HS coach for

Kerry is one of my good friends' older brother...was actually one of our basketball coaches at Huffman as well....didn't really like Kerry, was kinda a prick...but glad he's done well.

Yea. Scarbinsky just wrote an article praising sabans tacttics in hiring coaches for recruiting. I believe he says in the article that we have 18 (I guess 19 now) football staffers whereas bama has 28.

Yeah, there have been a few articles written about this the past few years. The NCAA puts limits on assistant coaches and I believe GA's that can be hired. However, Bama gets around this by hiring support staffers and this has included putting HS coaches on the payroll for years. Several articles have noted bama has the largest support staff in the country by a wide margin.

We need to get on the ball in this department. It is not against NCAA rules and is a HUGE recruiting advantage for bama.

His Colbert Heights team threw for an insane amount of yards. They played my brothers team in the quarterfinals of the 3a playoffs in 06.

I was a senior that year. As stated before he runs the Leach system. Our QB broke the state record for attempts.

He'll be a big help selling Gus's offense to recruits in North Alabama. I image that's why he was hired.

How much do these types of positions pay?

I have no idea, but I would like to think between the $50-75k range. I doubt they get paid in the 100s.

What's the head FB coach at one of the biggest high schools in the state make?... gotta be close to six figures.

I'd guess he gotta bump in salary to come here.

Coaches around the area make 90 to 100K

Sounds like he could become a position coach at some point in time, hopefully we can get some coaches from Mobile up in here.

Here's a theory...

Gus doesn't really "need" an OC. All of Gus's OC are literally OC-in-trainings.

So (hopefully) after a couple of successful years with our offense, Lashlee get's hired away so that he can go "spread his wings" and prove he can do his thing elsewhere outside of Gus's shadow.

Does Lindsey then move up to the OC-in-training role?

Tate said the budget for the second staff is "approaching seven figures," so I bet it's up in the 70-90k range.

I agree, this sounds more reasonable.

Didnt they say during the National Championship that Saban had like 10 more coaches than anyone in college football?
