Mtn. Brook is going to have a tough go in region 3. Defense should be stout for the athletes they will have, but they lose basically everything on offense.

I don't get how Dora is in 5A the school has never had 400 students in a single year but the AHSAA puts them in the same region as Jasper, Russellville, & Lewerence County. Seems unfair to me

There are about 6 or 7 schools in 5A that are under 400, but it's rough. Mtn. Brook battles that every year. They should honestly probably be 6A but they want to be in the top division to play all the traditional rivalries and what not.

The AHSAA has always messed up the alignments. Has anyone ever tried to get MTN Brook out of the rivalries so the kids would have a better chance to win?

Mtn. Brook doesn't want to get out of it for the most part. I mean they are plenty successful for Mtn. Brook standards. As long as they are still making playoff runs, they don't care what classification they are in. For all other sports, they are where they should be. Football is the only one that it is a bit off.

One of our employees had a kid on the Mnt Brook team last year. He play OL and was 6'2" and MAYBE 210. We'd go watch them play Hoover just to watch him get his %^$#& pushed in all night.

Looks like Vestavia is predicted to suck this year. I've heard they don't have much talent.

Yep. The number of students isn't as big of an issue for them as it is they type of students to put it bluntly. Just not a lot of size.

Vestavia has had a ton of kids that would normaly play there move out to Hoover. Their demographics have become much more similar to Mtn. Brook and it has shown on the field.
