Maybe Stricklin from UF?

The Uconn AD has some connects to Auburn.

How about somebody who hasn't worked at Auburn? No to David Benedict.

Personally, I hope they go find someone that has ZERO previous connections to Auburn

But I'm not holding my breath

I dont want any one who has worked at Auburn, played for Auburn or even been to Auburn. We need someone who will run it the right way no matter what a bunch of boosters want.

Scott Etheridge would not be a bad hire at all.

I'm not terribly against Benedict as he was only at AU a couple years

But I'd prefer we go get someone who is in a similar position with a longer record of success. Benedict hiring Edsall, bringing in Tailgate Guys and continuing programs that were dominant long before he got there just doesn't tell me much.

What about Todd Stewart (Western Kentucky)?

Prior to joining Liz Claiborne, Scott spent 11 years at NBCUniversal, a former subsidiary of General Electric, where he served in numerous leadership roles. His most recent role was Senior Vice President and CFO for NBCUniversal International. In that role he led $3 billion in annual sales and was responsible for international expansion.

Amazingly successful business career.

Outside of kicking a football, where is his experience in athletic administration?

Vanderbilt's AD could use a raise.

Utah's AD. Dude found Urban Cryer and Kyle Whittingham. That's a pretty good track record.

If jurich was making over $2m, will we be going market rate or cheap out?

Del Conte has done well at TCU. Would be interesting to see what he could do at an SEC school. Saw him mentioned as a potential candidate for Nebraska after they fired their AD.

Hocutt was involved in the Shapiro scandal at Miami, but skipped town before the shite hit the fan.

Bowen is an up and comer. He seems pretty solid, operates competitive football and basketball programs at a school with a considerably smaller budget than AU. He is also highly regarded for his fundraising.

Benedict needs more experience, not pleased with his football hire at UConn. Bringing Edsall back was pretty lazy...
